in light of this, ive decided to buy more t1 fit pod ganking thrashers.Pirate

might be the wrong forum, but catalysts are next for bigger game. is the typical gank fit t2 fit or t1?

and no i didnt get the corpses(actually got 2). i will do that in the future.

i have other questions involving tornadoes and outlaw status, PM or post with any insight.....im not sure how, but this is hilariously fun.


EDIT: got a shuttle on a gate and a tristan in a belt too.....just to see what i can grab in a t1 fit thrasher.

yes, educating pod pilots to safe warping is hard work....you really need dedication!
(as a good New Eden citizen, you should get the corpses as well, to keep space clean and safe).

Thrashers are the best ship for ganking pods that are just flying as pods. There's minor fit modifications you need to make to shoot shuttles and the yummy pods inside them when under station or gate gun fire.

T1 Thrashers can get you all sorts of interesting kills. IIRC I can't post KMs here, but shuttles/pods -obviously- to Pirate/Faction Frigates to T2 Frigates to T1 Haulers.

Don't use a Nado unless you have a target that's worth blowing 100m/isk including the possibility that you won't succeed (assuming you're -10 and have to set up the warpin, undock in the Nado and get to warpin so that the target is in optimal). I did this once for a target that was carrying over 4b/isk in a DST. It was AFK for about 10 minutes while I was waiting out GCC. By the time I landed on grid the target had just warped out. I was able to save the Nado, but barely.

T2 Catalysts are amazing and the standard gank boat. If you don't want to cross train for the Thrasher and the Catalyst, the Catalyst can work the same as the Thrasher if you use Rails; of course the Thrasher is better, but a Rail Catalyst is just fine for AP'ing pods and shuttles, although you won't live very long on a gate.

If you're not 'flashy red', you don't have to worry about optimal. Good luck and hope you get all the cool kills. Email me in-game if you have any additional questions, or there's something else I can help explain.

im skilled extensively in both,ive recently decided that outlaw is it. soon i will not be able to visit high without some sort of repercussions . good thing i have alts.....die afk pods......and die afk garbage in high-sec security. i will visit.....by invitation.....and for correcting the normal course of the universe.

EDIT: unsuccessful, all i can hear is bobs burgers when archer talks......phrasing.....is unsuccessful.

EDIT EDIT: high-sec is dead to me....for those that made active my killrights tonight, enjoy spending and not killing....i got you faded:)

Say I wanted to get into this AP Pod ganking thing. What kind of a security status hit would I be looking at? What's a good Catalyst fit to do it in?

thrashers are going to be better because they insta blap pods, and shuttles.

you may get about 6 or 7 pods before you go outlaw, maybe a few few more. its a pretty big hit for pods.

and remember even if you are -3(just random #) you get certain space restraints, where faction police will attack you.
