I took a long break from EVE (a bit over 2 years) but a friend of mine has convinced me to come back into it so rebooted my account and now trying to get my feet back underneath me.

I'm not really interested in the null-sec shenanigans but I do have this idea I like of a nicely fitted out Blockade Runner making quick trips as a trader and small-scale contract hauler. Now I'm not saying I think this is a way to make a fortune, I know there's better ways at making ISK in EVE but frankly I don't have time for a full time job. I'm not wanting to do this to make a fortune, I'm interested in it for that playstyle, hauling valuable cargo through moderately dangerous space, but using speed and stealth to get the cargo to its destination safely.

I guess the question is, outside of null-sec or a major Alliance paying you as a hauler, is this just a dream? Or is there still room for fast and stealthy traders in high/lo-sec? Or is it just the playground of the super-haulers?

there will always be nullsec corps/alliances that will pay to have things hauled in and out. especially the more indy related ones as well as the pvp ones who want ships brought out. It also gives you an opportunity to seed a market out there if you work in tune with some of the big guys. buy from jita, sell in null at slightly higher prices. make a killing and have fun hauling it.
