Anyone who hasn't figured out the traffic jam at the Perimeter gate during peak hours deserves whatever they get.

Anyone who goes to Jita, during a wardec, during high traffic times.... well, you get the point.

Click Jump, hit enter, repeat until "session change in progress" flags up. After hammering at like 20 requests/second for a couple of seconds you'll jump.

But yeah, don't go to Jita during a wardec. That's what alts are for. If you don't have alts, that's what red frog are for.

1) Its War-deccer. Two c's.

2) I think you mean Wartarget. There's nothing about a jam that makes declaring war itself more or less attractive.

Lol this thread comes up often.

Good news is, if it happens it usually means lots of people are online.

As for ways to prevent being a sitting duck on the gate:

1. Always assume there might be issues when 40,000+ people are online

2. Scan gate

3. Try to jump with something cheap (though, to be fair, I'd imagine lag and annoying pop-ups MIGHT make it difficult to get your pod out with insta-lockers on gate)

4. Try logging in an alt that's sitting in Jita

5. Ask in local, though highseccers don't always use local

Obviously if you can avoid going to Jita, especially during peak times, you'll solve the issue completely.

Make courier contracts by sneaking into the Forge to purchase goods. Laugh as the peasants blow up and you make ISK over collateral. Lol

But what do I know... I live in lowsec, I seldom see war targets. Assets being "frozen" to in-corp haulers is the bloody point of a wardec isn't it? Stressing logistics is a valid war strategy as far as I am concerned. Jita's traffic jams might take a cloaky hauler that doesn't know any better by surprise, but it will be a learning experience that should happen exactly once in ones Eve career.

Eve Uni gets most of it Loss mails at trade hubs

Newer/lazier/dumber players stay in wardecced corps and don't use alts and courier contracts to trade.

Only idiots have in corp haulers though. Any hauling should be done in a 1 man corp. Haulers are obvious targets for awoxers and wardecs.

Good thing Eve is full of idiots.

That gate you speak of just outside of Jita seems to be a very profitable place. I personally witnessed a multi bil blockade runner get blapped in a huge traffic jam there before.

I don't know about wardecs but all out ganking seems to be working there.

Just wait until military caps can enter High Sec. It's going to be grid-lock 24/7

I have a funny feeling that they won't be allowed in Jita, even when (if) the gates to highsec are reopened to them. There are already several things disallowed in that system, so I am expecting another to be added at that time.

If you're flying into the single most heavily populated system in the game while at war without the means to defend yourself even though access to that system is often restricted due to traffic you're a goodamned moron.

You've got it coming.

It's unfortunate if the player is new but also a good learning experience.

I see players who are years old complain about it though. They should feel bad. There are gates with next to no traffic where you can wait to enter if you need to, something I learned in my first month.

..And my wife once said "love is pain." Long story there..

Anyways, if we take into account the above revelations, we can deduce that 'Jita is a pain'.
