Noticed some speculative buying in recons, particularly the pilgrim. Wondering if to put a few bil into it. (limited funds and market newbie)

What are the more experienced traders opinion here?

You are going to have a short time after the patch where you might be able to make a moderate profit off speculation. But prices are still controlled by the cost to build and it won't move up much past that.

If anything the multi broadcasting changes will cause prices to rise.

Pretty much this. There will be a short price spike after the patch, but it will settle down to previous levels pretty soon, i would guess.

Furthermore, you might be a bit late, seeing that most of the recon ships already went up in price quite a bit.

you need to be more interested in the future and incoming changes, boosted ships are always more popular than before (because of BOOST)... and curse is one of the more capable recon in (soon) solo and very small group, also wide (future) use in FW and WH space = big demand...

I have found very profitable opportunities linked to the recon rebalance, but they are not related to buying recon hulls for future resale.
