While "Earth Theory" is more parsimonious then mold theory, and matches the genetic information more closely, I think its a bit of a stretch to say that earth is definitely on the other side of the EVE Gate.

If no human remains older than 20,000 years have been discovered, then it could also be hypothesized that mankind was only created 20,000 years ago.

Why would a creator labor for billions of years to independently evolve lifeforms on dozens of planets within the cluster, and then one day suddenly magic humans into existence upon hundreds of worlds independently?

Likely human origins in the cluster are the system New Eden, which just happens to have a supermassive wormhole in it. As a scientific investigator, I don't have the luxury of believing in coincidence or fairy tales.

I don't see it as a stretch at all.

There is so far zero evidence that humans evolved within the New Eden cluster, or on any planet found beyond the topical defects that began appearing after the Sellyn Incident.
