Game is completely unplayable on my Mac, with all 5 accounts. Zero issues on PC at work.

Problem seems to happen mostly when I undock. Ship comes out and is there floating in space. But the station and any ships around do not load. I can't warp, target anything, stop ship, doc, chat or even quit the game. To get out of the game I have to go and Force Quit the app.

After force quitting sometimes I will come back and things may be ok, other times I come back in the same state. Can't move ship, target, warp away, chat or even quit the game. Again to leave the game I have to use the Force Quit on the Mac.

Very Very Very Frustrated.

I have already deleted the game and downloaded it again. What the heck is going on?

one of the things broken is the crash dump log feature. You can press yes to your many crashes and would you like to create a crash dump file....not many are reporting much success getting logs from it from what i gather.

When you can find them. CCP in its infinite wisdom hides this and does't tell you where its stored. I had to google for this....must be that agile development kick they are on. Most classic programing models apps I run at least bother to tell you where the file is...with the option to do such things as send out a mail when crashed or move the file location.

For my issues of crashes to exception error my bug reports wold not be of help lacking this file.

Dear CCP,

I go to hang laundry on line I leave and come the game crashes by the time I am back.

I go to use the bathroom...I come back the game has crashed.

I to test reboot everything, log in, get into my game leave it alone for a few minutes and guess what....it crashes

Please fix

Unless ccp is covertly sneaking in anti afk activity.....my client crashes doing nothing. Including making crash dump files (insert laughtrackq here) after the crashes.

Sorry to hear. I'm in my 7th year playing the game on OSX and cross fingers no major drama. Biggest problem I ever face seems to be related to dual logon after some patches.

Can you enlighten us with your machine spec, do we can look to see if it's out of the norm.

I've had exactly the same problem on my iMac, but, strangely, my wife hasn't had it on hers. Usually, the 2nd or 3rd undock of the day fixes everything. It seems like a reboot of the iMac wipes out the temporary fix, as well, so only a ctrl+enter and force close + reboot will work on the 2nd attempt. This is a definite problem if a log-in is needed in a low sec system, or during a corp war, as an undock leaves you totally exposed and totally vulnerable.

Additionally, I've experienced EXTREMELY choppy sound and "lag" issues that occur whenever either of these two situations occur:

1. A station is exited and the "scan grid" animation revolves around the ship. Once the scan animation completes, the issue remains, but it is significantly less.

2. The ship is cloaked in some way (zoning in to a system or by activation of a cloaking device). The sound issue is GREATLY improved when the ship is not cloaked or whenever the camera is pulled back to the maximum range away from the ship.

Installed Crossover to run the Window version. So far so good. Does not seem like I should need to do that though.

People in this thread report issues without providing any kind of spec for their machines. That matters in this kind of context.

CCP, as a developer community, can do precisely nothing with this kind of complaint. They have no context to connect to the problem reported.

What version of the system are you on?

What kind of device are you using?

What specifications does that device have?

What other things are you doing with the device at the same time?

What 'smart' thing are you doing that your brother-in-law's godson once mentioned as having read on a 'super cool hacking site'?

Did your cat pee in the keyboard while you were not looking?

Always mention those kind of specific issues because they are important and they matter to the people who you are expecting to come up with a working answer.

This issue is a constant problem for Macs running 10.10 Yosemite. Officially, ccp does not support Yosemite. There is another thread dedicated to this topic here
