Naked like in our capsules? Would look ok with filters and the proper background and pose, at least with the parts that have to be covered, because of younger audiences, that play this game.

I would like to see Caldari military berets. Caldari light marines in game are pictured with something that looks like it.
The question is if the art team could take some of the design team working and put actual pilot CalMil insignia on it.

Custom ship skins, character creator style "repaint". Bring it!

I definitely would like to see the old styles for each Empire to come back. Still think it is a shame what happened to the Khanid with the Incarna - they went from probably the most beautiful females in EvE at that time and their males as totally badass space mongols, who were really looking like they were from a space kingdom, to fairly boring old and generic asian people. So maybe they can regain a bit of their old glory by getting their old clothing style back. And all the other races, too.

Also definitely a vote for more and better hairstyles, also resembling the old ones as i really miss all the funky and colourful Gallente hair cuts. If the devs lack imagination, just let them look at some Skyrim hair mods, i guess - there are some really good looking ones, although of course not animated.

i remember doing a survey that i was linked awhile ago. it must have been in preparation for this. but i didn't know that at the time. which is surprising considering the enthusiasts i spend my time communicating with in this game Blink

Amazing portrait, you look like Milla Jovovich. I tried playing with a Brutor in the character creator to see if I could duplicate your character and I failed. I got close... but not quite right.

The EVE character creator is a strange beast... sometimes I look at how similar we all look and I think the system is too basic and doesn't allow enough control/customization, leading to generic portraits... Yet matching someone else's portrait EXACTLY is near impossible. So there are some very fine-grained subtleties in there.

Is it just me or are deteis cross eyed? I been clicking on a few and it seems to be common, is it random or applied to all? Someone told me is was an intended feature because of caldari inbreeding, c/d?

Well, here you can see my two Brutor (the Fock sisters), side by side: http://i.imgur.com/qDc34Dy.png

I think they look more as sisters than as belonging to the same bloodline. And before doing them, I thought that only Sebiestor could be pretty.

Well, Khanid sitll are "easy mode", as Achuras. But their old style was amazing, very unique and had that "mongol" vibe over it. Iy was easy to picture them, same as with the Gallente who (to hell with CCP) still are the French of New Eden, to me.

It is understandable that back then with limited manpower and even more limited developer interest they couldn't do much more than they did. Adnnow when manpower is totlaly a skeleton crew, all our hopes are just daydreaming unless the NES provides enough income to justifiy taking it seriously.

In a game were avatars do nothing and will never do (and being realistic, they will be removed sooner or later) we can still struggle so they look awesome outside of the game. Roll

Should I take a crack at making something actionable out of the tail end of the thread? Seems like a lot of discussion and debate is at eventual risk of falling into the proverbial black hole..

I think a long term CC/portrait feature list aggregator would be a nice platform for CSM/CCP discussions.

What do you guys think?

I think that plugging it all into a concept ...
... and some sort of visual design accompanying would be a good idea.

Less text, more showing off. That means incorporating the ideas into a functional concept.

The CC needs a revamp.

I have ideas... but is it too late already? Once they start a project they ain't gonna change it.
