Because if we didn't, your or someone elses posts would probably be something like:

You cant make everyone happy.

I also fixed the punctuation mistakes. You had the question mark and the periods backwards.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Because I want to see immediately while undocking whether someone else is going to bump into me on the undock, if I hit that warp to insta undock. I don't care what's in front of me, because I'm not going to see it anyway, if everything is ok.

You get 30 seconds invul, so doesn't really matter which way you face, it won't affect you negatively.

Been around since the beginning.

You should be off station at your undock insta-warp long before you need to worry about what's in front of you.

Then, like most things in EVE, CCP "fixed" it. Roll

A consistent undocking experience would be sensible.

As it is there seems to be no consistency. Something that Seagull keeps battering into the floor.

There is no need for inconsistent undocks.

It would make a lot of sense if you zoomed out whilst docked, you were zoomed out whilst undocking. If you were zoomed in you could undock with a close zoom.

Up until I read the first post, I didn't actually had a reason to dislike the way my ship undocks from station.

And I still don't so...

I mean really, I'm several months in the game and I already trained Advanced Ship Spinning to IV. It takes no more than 2 seconds to correct my camera! I expect a 0.2 seconds redution once I finish training it to V in two weeks!

The undock experience is consitent for every ship, player, and station: you always undock with the camera tacing the station. If you want to talk about changing the experience, that's fine, but don't sperg off about "consistency" when the "experience" is clearly consistent.

If we ever find the station windows, the camera can just skip from the station to our ships as we undock.

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

Actually ... the camera is facing the ship.

I'll admit I do find this a little annoying on some station models - particularly the Amarr station you undock downwards from, since the camera is usually zoomed so far in, the station takes up the entire view, and when attempting to rotate the camera, since the game "detects" me as holding down the mouse button on the station model it pops up the radial menu. Usually you have to madly scroll out several times until a tiny sliver of "clear space" appears on the screen to use to rotate the camera. But heh, first world problem P.

Because if the camera was behind you, the station itself would obscure your view, Shirley?

Yeah, as soon as you can find a clear spot (not swallowed up by the station) to right click on.

That's why I changed the radial menu to the middle mouse button

Or you can use the People & Places window to insta-warp to the insta-undock bookmark. You can even search for the right bookmark prior to undocking.
