In general you really should do the tutorials and then the epic chain that starts in Arnon, all in all those missions net you some +15mils in ISK and some free ships and loot which to sell or to start your career in EVE.
Also unlike most missions epic arc is actually rather interesting to follow through and even requires a bit of thinking or losing ships in the process.

When done find your self a corp that suits your needs and make use from those free frigs and a dessie that you get from tutorials and epic arc.

No offense to OP.

But, after SOO many warning, are people still stupid enough to undock with a plex in their hold

Really...

sorry, but good riddance. Hell, I can't even remember how often I said it and how often I read it from other people how to do it.
If you then still figure that....ooh, nobody will sacrifice a ship about 100mil tops to gank me with my 800+ mil cargo, your logic is massively flawed.

You can continue:

A. As Ralph said, do the damn tutorial. they are for new players to get them going in EVE. And they give you free ships, skills and modules and a good bunch of ISK.

B. Unsub to you can buy another plex and lose that in a ridiculous fashion, so we can laugh again.

Guess, which of the 2 is the better choice, both in terms of logic aswel as making you a better player.

Wow, you're pretty arrogant, eh?

It's not like I"m crying or complaining about it, so there's no need to show up and get nasty about it. You can probably find a better use of your time then looking for people to insult on the forums.

It's people like you that make games like this - and the internet in general - unpleasant.

Let's see.

A. OP tends to slightly think money makes a good pilot (by the, I won't play till I can buy a PLEX again).
B. OP rejects the best advice given...Do them damn tutortials, they are there for a reason. To teach you how stuff works.
C. OP complains that he doesn't have enough ISK for a Venture, yet the tutorial gives you 2 of them...for free.
D. OP finds it weird that people gank him wit a PLEX in hold, yet he had no issues before flying in and out of Jita empty / with sensable cargo in his ship.

Hmz, should I really bother with helping the OP. Not really, just here to show people how to NOT play EVE efficiently.

p.s.

For the ...a forget it, I'm not counting anymore...time.

Don't undock with a PLEX as there is NEVER a reason to undock with one. Period.

As for the rocket issue:

I tend to do 1 of 2 options, bit depending on life expectancy of the ship:

A. Load up C.N. Sourge and bring 1 or 2 reloads

B. Load up C.N. Scourge but bring some of the other damage types too.

Most of the time, you are already commited to the fight and with frigates, it's not very effective to reload to change damage type.

The issue here J'poll isn't the advice given, it's the fact you seem to have jumped right down OP's throat. They don't know you, and you don't know them. They're new to eve and learned the hard way the cost of their stupid mistake. There wasn't, however, any need to post the vitrol you did. It's almsot like you took it personally that some noob lost a plex in cargo?

OP's post history seems to indicate a newbie; first post is recent, and most posts are newbie questions or comments.

In-game corp history shows she joined the game in 2010, joined what looks like a PVE corp. which got wardecced 2 months later, prompting the OP to leave that corp and probably the game, until recently.

A 100k bounty has been placed on her in the past 5 hours.

I seem to recall a certain story along the same lines. This one hitting close to home JP? Big smile

Edit: If you don't like PVE or mining don't do it. Sounds like faction warfare might be for you. Should definitely make you enough money to keep you in cheap pvp frigs. Look for a decent corp, they'll likely help you out with funds as well if you have a good attitude.

Yep Cara.

But I didn't think...let's stop playing till I can buy a PLEX again. I thought, let's learn from this and become a better player.

There is another option here as well OP. If you want to learn PvP I highly recommend joining a new player friendly organization that will help teach you PvP. The added bonus is that a lot of these organizations give away free T1 Frigates to their newbros specifically to help you get on your feet PvP wise. The two I would recommend you look into are EvE University and Brave Newbies. If you have any time on Reddit, Dreddit in TEST (allied with Brave Newbies) is another good one.

Next time you buy a PLEX leave it in the "Redeem" queue and fly to the station you wish to sell it at THEN redeem it. Never...EVER fly with one in your hold. No reason to.

Hope you find your path in EVE. It can be a difficult game to wrap your head around, but at the same time be the most enjoyable gaming experiences out there.

See you in the space lanes...

I am trying to fit some T1 frigates to learn pvp. In my research I have learned that rockets are a good choice for frigates that intend to pvp at close range, but I can't figure out what type of rocket to fit.

I know that each of the 4 damage types affect hull/shields/armor in different ways, but how do I decide which to fit? Not knowing who I'll run into it, it's impossible to optimize for my opponent.. should I just fit one of each type? Or all of one type?

Thanks.

Put an hour aside and watch this video all the way through:

Join a corp, play with people. Find a corp that has a ship replacement program etc.
