Nullbear?

I enjoy these games not so much for the opportunity to kill anyone I want, but rather for the challenge of avoiding being killed. I enjoy the idea of engaging in non-combat activities (mining, scanning for artifacts, etc.) in dangerous areas, risking getting ganked, and get a particular thrill out of successfully running away. "Griefer" is a meaningless term for me, since the opportunity to outwit an attacker, regardless of his motivations, improves my own gaming experience. (This is why standard MMOs are boring to me.) And getting blown up is just part of the learning process. I may even name one of my ships "Jackalope" or "Brier Rabbit' or something. :p

So here's my question: exactly how much disrespect am I likely to get for being a "Nullbear"?

Better question: Why would you care? Play your game your way, and be proud of it.

For putting yourself at the bottom end of the food chain? If *beep* hits the fan you will be ignored. In fact you will be ignored all day. Beside payday of cause. Your money they will take. That's for sure.

If you take all the sand out of the box, only the cat poo will remain.

This ^^

No matter what you do in this game someone is going to "not like you" for it.

But, to more directly answer your question, I can't see why anyone would particularly "disrespect" you for this. Unless of course you are continually entering a Corp or Alliances claimed space of course.

There are many people in Eve that "Ninja Mine" and I have never seen an alliance or corp yelling "Damn it! I can't stand these ninja miners anymore!" lol.

Expect to be hunted down and killed, but I don't think you will be hated or anything like that.

Honestly, to one extent or another, your reasoning is the same reason many people like Eve. The rush of knowing that if you are caught you aren't simply going to respawn at a graveyard with a minor repair bill.

So, have fun and fly safe. (Or unsafe in this case)
