So Why do you play eve?

Is it the tranquillity of the mining, the study of the mysteries that intermingle amongst the star?

Is your war against the skynet, ratting and missioning?

Is it the tears or the sassing in return?

or is it the eternal Pew pews?

is it he social aspects the friends you have made all over the world?

I never thought of it like that, but I guess some may play for that.
I find mining to be tranquillising... deadly boring unless there are some gankers around.

The moments when I'm not sure I'll get the ship out of danger... those make EVE worth playing.

well I play eve because

a- it is beautiful
b- you have a lot of freedom to say and do whatever you like due to the older player base
c- it is a truly global game
d- Its from Iceland...first time I have had some thing from there and Iceland is cool
e- the mechanics are more difficult to master this is why in the past I was burning thru games in an hour

And finally it is enjoyable...I have not said that truly about a game in a long long time

It is the only MMO that in PVP gets me moderately interested.
I like that we can build up a group and control area.
I want to crush those that pick easy kills but they are a never ending mass that reduces my hope for humanity. Given freedom this is what they find fun?
The ship building is a lot easier than Anarchy Online equipment but at least more challenging than checking level and colour of the item.
The industry actually matters, the market is controlled by players, rather than a novelty that weirdos partake in.

A pity that I try and do everything, I am a generalist in and out of game. If my enemies knew how little SP I have in combat they would biomass from shame when they die to me. P

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.
