Then once im back I have no desire to play, odd tbh a few years ago I would happily dedicate unhealthy amount of times shooting pointless structures setting my alarm to join pointless ops only to listen to pointless people give me orders and hear other pointless people laugh at dumb jokes on comms.

Maybe it is because EVE has gotten stale, maybe it is because RL is too good, maybe it is because saying "arrow to the knee" after everything in real life will get you beaten up. Who knows

For content, why do you think people get hooked on games? Sure it is nice to assume it is all for 'fun', but when does doing something fun become an addiction and when does the game become a reality?

Oh also if this thread gets 10 pages I will biomass ALL my accounts, the game is fine but sadly this addiction looks like it wont be returning, at least this way I will be gone for good and not sub randomly for no reason :D or at least until WOD comes out, if it ever does

As for stuff, I will give my stuff to the first ice miner poster who has lost the most macks / hulks this month (API verified kills required)

I think its less to do about who you are and more to do about what you might say.

So ermm I just had to buy a plex, apply it to my account just so I could start the biomass timer, that has to be the most ******** thing ever

@ JC - Well some 'famous' people deserve likes for all their posts, I had somewhat forgotten about the old drama that happened on CAOD and even how Mittani changed his whole personality / style just because of you haha, thanks for reminding me, I can see why you got all those likes JC, probably some from me too

Also in a completely unrelated note, it does seem very suicidal this thread, which really wasnt the aim, it should be more of "Real Life is a fun game that makes all MMOs terrible, I have this neurotic habit of resubbing to games for no good reason and deleting my chars is one way to ensure it wont happen again" thread, sadly all that remains are 5 chars amounting upto 150mil SP between them

I have been a little coy about RL, I wont go into much detail since well theres no point but to give an idea of how this decision came about I will give a summary of events

Long story short

Oct 2010 - EVE is (un)officially known as RMT Online
Nov 2010 - Mission to expose all RMT cunts, tracking their ratting kills etc begins (note: this feature was already readily available on DotLan)
Dec 2010 - Wtf is an API and why should I care?
Jan 2011 - PHP is cool but I find it boring
Feb 2011 - Hmm I appear to be spending 8+ hours a day learning, working and building this **** and I actually like it
Mar 2011 - Lets play Travian for lolz
Apr 2011 - Lets make a bot for Travian, hmm I think I will make use of the VS ultimate crack I have now
May 2011 - My penis seems to be going hard for C# / F#
Jun 2011 - Hmm looks like I dedicate all my time to learning, programming, working out, playing the piano, cooking and my cat, 6 hours sleep a day seems cool, 12+ hours a day working seems even cooler

Around Jul 2011 anything that didnt benefit me or my cat in RL was avoided

I guess I took a new approach to reality and games just didnt seem that important, I guess this is what they mean by butterfly effect. I like the transition, now to have some fun ;)

Fact is, EVE skill based lifestyle is an excellent way to approach life and in a way if you think about it, you can actually do anything (and I mean ANYTHING) with this approach.

I put effort blood, sweat and my old nose into this game but I cant think of a more ballsy way to go :D

Anyway timers are up, oh and just in case you are wondering whats going in the shredder,..

Theres several other chars (about 65 other accounts) but most are inactive or below 20 mil SP, most of 2010 and practially all of 2011 I didnt bother learning any skills as there really wasnt much point http://imgur.com/a/7Zk8x#1

Do you know what I find really funny though, despite all my spamming, trolling and whining, I managed to successfully run a manufacturing empire to the point where I had 20 hi sec poses up mass producing / inventing t2 ships (although the poses didnt themselve produce any t2 ships), I will spare the details on the ISK made but it was rather amusing how I got away with it for several years without any issue or even a single wardec

I'd love to post with my main forum warrior, but due to what I quoted above, I can't. I don't post in threads to milk likes.

Seriously. How lame is it that the 'Like and get likes' thread is 55 pages. What a bunch of losers.

I will say 'see ya around', though. I don't expect you'll be long away from EVE. I have enjoyed reading some of your stuff and watching some of your entertaining antics (including this one). It'll be a shame if you leave for good.
