I recently joined EVE with someone's buddy link, and i am going to upgrade my account this weekend. At that time my "buddy" promised to give me around 700M ISK. So please only include me in the draw if your prize is worth more than that, otherwise i guess other newbies may need the prize more than i do.

The Nestor is a pretty bad ship for pretty much everything except Logi. And it's not that great for that, unless you can't fly t2 logi.
No covops cloak, BS sized, epic target. They're pretty rare outside of highsec (and not common in highsec), so people like killing them, and I don't think they can get inside highsec exploration, so they're kind of bad for everything.

It's pretty cool that this is being done. I totally support stuff like this and am gonna pay it forward by donating 50 mil to the first confirmed non-alt, non-trial noob that I find.

Reminds me of the time about about a month before I started this toon, when I thought I was gonna be leaving Eve for good. I joined the noob help chat and gave away over a billion isk, 10-20 mil at a time for random joke requests, X's in channel, etc. By the end of the day i'm pretty sure i'd given a couple people over a hundred mil. It was spontaneous and in hindsight i'd do it differently, but whatever, it was fun!

You think it's bad because you don't know how to use them.

Point a) fitting service, I suggest you spend some time reading how that works.
Point b) expensive but better then Domi doing c5 sites
Point c) is a battleship so use accordingly with battleships
Point d) billion isn't really that much when you have cash to spare. P

She said "my hacking hands", so based on that she's going to use it for exploration.
A) becomes moot unless you do exploration runs wih friends (maybe combat sites)
B) but the rattlesnake is cheaper and probably better than the Nestor.
C) PvE? Smartbommbing? Bait? There are multiple uses for a battleship, y'know..
D) yeah, but how is someone who can't even afford 1 going to have that much to spare?

Only places I've used Nestors are wormholes and PvP, however our first fleet on it's maiden voyage met a similar nestor & pirate fleet and results weren't pretty but Nestor is still cheaper then a carrier to replace and more fun to fly.
No ship can do c5 solo or at least not in a reasonable time frame, hence the "potato fleets".
Replacing a one isn't a problem when you have a corp that can offer a full SRP which is any successful WH corp or null alliance that has their hand on renting / moongoo business, failing that you do like my old corp did and shop around for "16bil loot pinjatas" from your local mission hubs before any major ops to fund your PvP.

But in the and Nestor isn't a solo ship (though it can be but not with the current price tag) you need 2 or 3 at least in fleets to have it shine, being able to swap cap/eccm/tank modules as fast as you burn them is golden. Cool
