I support the 'Windows 7 + windowed clients' notion.
Works with 4-5 clients (for me, mining or scout/booster/logi/dmg..)

Only needs HW to support it.

Get a second monitor and drop a junction of eve

http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Multiple_clients

This should make you able to have a shortcut to an eve client for both screens (as your graphics card will automatically create a second virtual graphic card managing the other screen), with their own individual window settings while not having to download updates two times. If you only have 1 screen this works as well.

Now get those lazy alt accounts out pee-wee-pee-ing! Blink

FYI - having more than one client folder doesn't mean you have to download patches twice.

Just download once and uncheck the "clear downloaded data" box before ending the app.

When you update the second account, it will automatically use the locally cached client update files.

Since EVE employs no means of tracking *anything* and I mean ANYTHING done to the client, this should be a clear cut case of don't ask don't tell.

If your conscience fails you:

It's pretty easy to play split screen / dual screen.
Setup your ingame shortcuts so they are identical across clients.
Setup your overview and tabs to be the same across clients.

Practice, practice, practice.

I can't remember the name of the software but there's one where you input a key combo and it sends programmed keystrokes to a designated window. I'm sure some googling will prove fruitful.

Don't bother with junctioning, seriously don't do it. Eve remembers your settings per user anyway. Only do that if you use an alt on the same account that has/NEEDS a vastly different UI layout than what you usually use. Junctioning is mostly used to support OCR scripts/bots. (Go on argue with me, I double dog dare you)
