Keep player view direction after jump

I'm impressed by new nebulas feature added by Crucible. One little tweak would make it even more cool - player should look the same direction after jumping through gate as he was looking before the jump.

That would improve the sense that ship is momentally "thrown" through space as player would be looking at the same part of sky, only shifted\closer\ farther from him as before.

Adding some nice animation for the process of interstellar jump would be further development of that idea but I think it would cost more resources to implement then just changing camera direction.

Space isn't two dimensional, and going through an artificial wormhole shouldn't be a coherent experience in my opinion.

Not sure I follow. Background nebula image is 2D, everything else is 3D, including space, jump direction, nebula placement in the galaxy, direction of view etc.

The problem is what is the "same direction". The best that could be done is the camera is looking at the ship from the same angle.

All warfare is based on deception and logistics. Battles and soldiers are secondary priorities.

I meant player's direction of view relative to starmap (or EVE space), direction of view relative to his ship is irrelevant.
