Backstories of christmas presents, boots and torture! :O

Hello there! :D

I was grabbing my awesome christmas presents from CCP yesterday and ...
... and ... omg these boots! :O

I don't remember exactly now, but I read somewhere that someone thought it might have to do with Caroline's Star mystery and was tracking those coordinates down..

    • This is a reference to a quote from CCP Guard on the o7 show. "The best ship in EVE is the friend ship".

  • Soxfour's Spaceboots
    • This is a reference to a time that CCP Foxfour went on EVE TV without his shoes on. All the stream chat would ask is where his shoes were. The next show featured his shoes on the table. Finally, after this event took off, CCP Nullarbor stealthily made added a slide featuring a photoshopped picture of CCP Foxfour in socks into CCP Foxfour's Fanfest presentation.

  • Manufacturing Union’s Placard
    • This is a reference to us adding manufacturing teams during the year

  • The Galactic Party Planning Guide
    • This is a reference to some of the players that have organized some of the player meets during the year, including EVEsterdam, EVE London, EVE Vegas and EVE Down Under

  • Chribba’s Modified Strip Miner
    • This is a reference to Chribba, he who mines the Veldspar and wields the Veldnaught. All miners give praise to Chribba, and in turn, he provides them with the Veldspar.

  • Rooks & Kings – The Clarion Call Compilation
    • This is a reference to a famous series of videos by Rooks & Kings called Clarion Call. If you haven't watched them, I strongly suggest that you do so. Lord Maldoror's voice alone is worth it. Their channel is here: https://www.youtube.com/user/Rooksandkings

  • Pre-Completed CSM 10 Ballot Paper
    • This is a reference to many player alliances that issue a "suggested ballot" to their members that they recommend they follow for the CSM elections.

  • Titanium Plated Cranial Shielding
    • This is in reference to all the forum users that recommend and use tinfoil hats. Of course since this is New Eden, we use more advanced items to protect our brains.

  • Wollari’s Starchart Compilation
    • This is a reference to Dotlan maps (http://evemaps.dotlan.net/) widely regarded as the best mapping tool for K-Space available.

  • Polaris Eviction Notice
    • This is a reference to when someone (i.e. CCP Paradox) accidentally did something to C C P and that caused the next Alliance bill to fail. This caused the alliance to drop all of it's sov and be disbanded. Luckily since C C P members have dev hax, we restored the alliance. None of you saw anything.

  • Jump Portal Generation Instruction Holoreel
    • This is a reference to how the Battle of Asaki started (i.e. someone hitting jump instead of bridge)

  • Vincent Pryce’s Warp Disruption Field Generator
    • This is a reference to the pilot that actually managed to tackle the titan that jumped through to start the battle of Asaki. They just happened to have a Heavy Interdiction Cruiser on hand at the time, which is required to tackle Super Capital ships in lowsec

  • Guillome Renard’s Sleeper Loot Stash
    • This is a reference to the Sleeper Research Race. A pilot (Guillome Renard) encouraged pilots to donate sleeper items to him instead of to the four empires, saying that we (capsuleers) should be the ones unlocking the secrets from the recent chances, not the empires.

  • Sisters Of EVE Charity Statue
    • This is a reference to the last PLEX for Good campaign we ran where we manged to raise $190, 890 for the Red Cross.
