Simple UI change. Aids miners in early cutoff of mining cycle. Calculated by client. Show units and M3 mined so far in current cycle. Something for new code interns.

Of course automatic cutoff based on last survey scanner scan or remaining orehold space would be even more direct. But coding is not quite as brain dead simple - mistake could be made.

LOL - the ultimate would be to pair that automatic cutoff with a queue of roids to mine!.

(Now lets hear the rage from mostly non-miners over the tiny increase in AFK profits. Although I would think gnkers would like the increased chance of total AFK. )

Yeah one less bit of code to make a bot. But for those not hacking EVE it does not change anything significant or challenging. Still need to unload at station and do initial roid selection. Really ore queue complaints should be compared to skill queue. Yeah some have pride and extra profit in ability to do tedious work -- but most of EVE would celebrate.

LOL - in terms of dynamic player interaction...well now I would be able to devorte full time to that second account where I am trying to run an anti-gank ship!!! So really it could mean better PVP...depending on emergent player practices as CCP puts it.

Heh I am really only strong about the counter displays for when too tired or drunk to calculate that stuff.

Automatic cutoff would also be nice. But I can live without it.

Ore queue?

That would be high luxury and maybe more suited to situation where CCP changes game to where CAPITAL ships do mining via fighter sized drones WHILE defending themselves in PVE and PVP with guns/missiles or some of the remaining drones (carrier miner hybrid). That does seem a bit more high tech and large scale industrial than early makeshift mining barges. Much bigger ganks tooo. But a lot more worth guard fleet,

Extra speculation not critical to basic feature proposed

OOH OOH maybe CCP would put out one of military SciFi favorite ships....the CAPITAL sized drydock and repair ship which uses large fighter sized mining drones and builds replacement modules and smaller ships lost as the independent fleet command wanders about space. More feasible idea with jump fatigue now a factor. But CCP would have to expand null to where more systems were vacant and not so many convenient bottleneck systems for soveignty defense (i.e. might be a less guarded backdoor or jump accessible system).

I don't see why not. If anything, this can be done (to some degree of accuracy) client-side to avoid additional server load.

get a stop watch and do some math at least then your doing something a little more than alt tabbing back from youtube every 5-10 min

Better to have a seprate laptop running youtube as repeated alt-tabs can crash the game :D
