I'd like a way to update some aspects of my game, out of game. But if I want to play EVE, I play it right.

If you're desperate to use your mobile then use a desktop connection to your main PC - that way the PC does all the heavy lifting your mobile can't handle

i'd like to be able to do things like flip skills, monitor/adjust buy and sell orders, that kind of thing, it would make it a damn site easier, especially for those that dont have access to computers at work.

The need for a pocket edition was killed with unlimited skillqueues.


We already have forum access so what else do you need besides that now a days?

Fanfest 2011, EVE on a smartphone

Skill queues, chat rooms, contracting, market.. there are plenty of good usages for a smartphone app, but all this would need CCP resources allocated to working on it. It would not be a trivial amount of work.

Maybe security could be a problem too..

Remember smartphones today and tablets meet the same specifications EVE required in 2003. Not to mention sales of tablets will surpass notebooks by 2016. I am not suggesting an EVE replacement, but merely the possibility of a light weight edition for these devices.
