Data or Relic sites?

What are your opinions on both and do you believe one is more worth the time than the other? I have good skills for both. Just wondering because I've been seeing more and more posts about site have crappy return. I plan do do this in null but have also heard high and low can be better, w space as well. I have no experience with wh space and thought that rats spawn on the data and relic sites. Any good feedback is much appreciated.

Did you notice the six or seven posts right below yours regarding relic sites, data sites, high sec scanning? C'mon take a sec and search. If you can't find posts you can't find relic sites.

Generally, data sites are a joke. Relic sites are fine, but rather dependent on what part of space you are in.

If you aw exploring because you find it fun and the loot just helps pay for replacement ships, then do all sites you come across.

If you are doing it for some isk/hr joke then I have no advice for you.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

Relic sites are the only ones worth doing atm, and even from those the only valuable thing is faction control tower BPCs... t2 salvage ain't worth much anymore.

Relic sites are better (in terms of ISK per site) than Data sites. That said, there is great deal of competition for Relic sites, but not much for Data sites. Also, I tend to find more Data sites than Relics. In Blood Raider space, I'm averaging about 5 million per Data site, and slightly less than 20 million per Relic. In terms of ISK/hour, they've come out about the same, as I have to do less searching to find Data sites.

Run relic sites in Sansha space. I regularly get 60-100 million or more per relic site due to armor plates, intact armor plates, and some of the tech2 micro chip things. What I meant about the value of relic sites being dependent on what part of space you are in had nothing to do with sec status.

Data sites however average 4-8 million ISK per site in Sansha space and are not worth the time of hacking the cans. This is all in null btw.

You can find faction tower bpc's and the weapon deployables in both relic and data sites, even High Sec.

Data sites aren't worth the effort to be honest, crap loot nearly all the time, Relics are the only ones worth bothering with.
