Burner mission beaten with a tristan.

I have to ask, did I get the easier burner mission there is? It was 2x Remote reppers, and a Jaguar.
And yes, this was my first burner mission. After being told how hard it was, and how people lost a ton of **** to them, I figured I'd share.

Interesting. Maybe these new "team burner" missions are actually easier. never run one.

Be aware that no-one in GD actually plays EVE they just pretend to.

You are likely to get more response posting this sort of stuff in Missions and Complexes.

That was basically my experience when I ran the team burners on SiSi. Once you maneuver the logis to the point where they can't rep each other, the fight loses its difficulty. So, not surprised that they can be soloed in a cheap T1.

I've done it as well. My biggest problem was burning away from the burner so he couldn't catch me, but once that was done it was just a matter of time to kill the logi and then the burner melted.

Well they designed the team burners almost exclusively favoring kiting fits with all of the team burners having the same web and scramble radius (see the thread in the M&C forum).
Thus, it's open to exploitation for a large variety of frigates out there. The original (solo) burner missions aren't as forgiving - easiest being Angel Dramiel and the most annoying & dangerous being the Guristas Worm (fast little bugger).

The major difficulty, imo, is really about finding the best unified frigate hull+fit AND finishing the mission in a timely fashion (btw, 10-12mins isn't timely Smile). It doesn't make sense to have different frigates hulls for the different burner missions - this isn't ideal if you tend to mission in several different systems. Drones boats are generally too finnicky as you have to manage drone aggro every single time, else you lose them. Even with the most careful drone management, you might still lose them through attrition. However, for brawler fits, saving 1 drone for a shtf getaway is good practice - so keep that tip in mind.

Few weeks ago I said to myself "eventually people are going to figure out how to do this in T1 frigs".

(Then I would eyeball my Kestrel but still chicken out and refuse the burner mission anyway because I'm lazy)

With the right social skills a burner at Lanngisi pays just under 15K SOE LP which can be cashed in for 30 million ISK. If you could get just Burner missions that would average out at roughly 180 mill ISk per hour.
