Jumps to escalation

I had thought these were decreasing. Picked up Angel Kickbacks tonight, first escalation was 11 jumps, second was 28. Somehow I can't believe this is working as intended.

Did you disable the security restrictions on your auto pilot settings? It may be 28 jumps through high-sec, while a single jump through low-sec would cut the distance down within the limits. Also if the destination is in low-sec and you have high-sec restriction, it will look for the route with the lowest number of low-sec systems.

Good call! And checking settings turns out 'twas the right call too. Will have to get a few more and compare jump distances.

Along with the reduction of jumps, I believe the exploration game mechanics were also changed to make the escalation site be located in the same security sector of space where it was originally gained in as well.

For example if gained in high security, the escalation site would also be in high security, if gained in low sec, then the site would be located in low sec, etc..

Actually what they did is removed the things that force them to a lower security level. Now things that used to only go to low sec can spawn in high sec. The last time I did Trap? the final stage was in High Sec for the first time. It can still go to low but it is not being forced there any more.

I still get escalations to ded sites from high sec anoms that go to low sec.
