Player Features and Ideas Discussion

Well this may have been suggested before. If so I am sorry for the reposting

Here is my idea. In my museings I had a idea that it would be cool and very nerdy to be able to control my ship in combat with a touch screen device. Now in the past that would have been a big task with a fair bit if money investment just for one extra bit of game play immersion. But today with the amount of iPads and Android tablets on the market. It would really only be a case of producing an "Eve App" that can interface with you game client.

This may be very silly and not worth the time to impermanent. But then again. It might just be amazing. Just think. You could be sitting at on your comfy sofa with your super big HDTV and instead of having to use your keyboard and mouse. You have this touch screen device just like in all them SicFi TV shows (Star Trek data pad anyone) to control you ship.

In theory, All that is needed is the game client to have it's own mini server that can be accessed by a Android or iPad device. And a app to interface with it. Sounds simple. But I am sure it is a ***** to impermanent.

Side note. How cool would it be also to have voice control along with it (I have a feeling that can be done with 3th party software already) "Ship, Engage warp scrambler on target 2".

Anyway. that's my idea for this year.
