Stream is live @ http://www.twitch.tv/dotuser

Events will begin in approx. 18~19 minutes.

[It's mostly local chatter until the frig fight, with occasional undocks for ship scrambles and other things.. I'd have commentary but, no commentators with me really..]

I've stopped streaming, the recording for twitch can be found here; http://www.twitch.tv/dotuser/b/599305214
The frigate fight begins around 3~3.5 hrs into the video.

Things were a lot more difficult this year than last. Not sure if it's due to location or different helpers.

We have been there in the event system since approximately 1:30 EST and started doing some things around 3:30 pm... after that, it was non-stop until now.

well, getting warped out had a different effect than last year, so it did make it somewhat harder, but you did great as always.

this time of year isnt a happy one for alot of people around the world.
at this time of year i stop playing eve and give my time to things more worthy that help out people in real life who need it more than a bunch or internet spaceship pilots.
Giveaways are great in game.
But we should focus on real life people who need help to feed and house themselves. And to spend $5 or $10 on small gifts to donate to familys who cant afford to buy there children anything.
Sorry to put a downer on all you eve people. But some things are more important at this time of year than a game.

It was very thoughtful of you to setup this lovely gifting event. You have no idea how happy we all were, after receiving them. So thank you.to you and all the helpers and the ones that donated the gifts for the event.

The spirit of giving, caring and making someone's day a little brighter is the very core of this event, and surprisingly enough of your own statement.

a present for someone's child, and a collection of pixels for someone in game are both the same thing when the motivation(s) for them being given are the same.

Is there really any real difference between the fire truck that a child pushes around the room of his home and the ship that the pilot flies around in their game?

if both are given from the heart, then are they not the same?

no one will argue that there can not be a difference between the two venues, but if we are to be honest with ourselves and with others, both venues are just as real for some as they are for others.

The term "EvE is real" is more than just a catch phrase for a game, it is the feeling of friendship, camaraderie, and the very glue that bonds some folks together both in and out of game.

The desire to help one's brothers, to give of one's self for the betterment of another
The urge to drive forward and be more than just the sum of our parts
The ability to feel love and compassion for a stranger

These are the things that make us human and these are the reason(s) for the season.

Merry Christmas.

Amazing job Santa. It was just incredible. Lots of fun, the frig races were great! There definitely seemed to be a lot of thankful people. Also, a HUGE shout out to CCP Leeloo. It was soooo nice for CCP to help out with this event and then move the rookie brawlers into nullsec for the fight and finally for adding to the gifting. Lets keep the spirit alive both in and out of the game, but as far as in the game... just... AWESOME!

Thank you, however, none of it would have been possible to the extent it was without my helpers, those who donated and of course CCP's help this year.

The guests?, they are what made the entire event for me... aside from a small bump in the road, the guests were great and it was awesome to see folks having fun laughing and even sharing with one another.

3 words to describe last nights activities :

AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME !!!

So many players having so much fun, interactions with people from all over New Eden, that would normally never meet. Fireworks, Snowballs, races, scrambles, Rookie Fight, gifts gifts gifts - and not just from Santa.

I never thought I would meet so many generous, well meaning and fun people in EVE.

A 'HUGE THANK YOU' to Santa Spirit and all his little elfs and helpers.

Looking forward to next years EvEnt already!!

I so want to get involved next year and help out, to give a little back to the people that made this my (and many others) best ever experience in New Eden.

Well done also to CCP for supporting such a great community event.

again,

AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME !!!

And for many people these days, some internet space pixels is all they have to give. Cry
(thankfully this is not a self-description but it could have been at a few times in the past)

I was informed earlier that the codes for the Pirate faction rookie ships have been sent to the pilots already, and that the plex are incoming too.

I would say that you folks won't have to wait too long, CCP Leeloo is taking care of it for you.

Thanks

Do the Plexxes come to the redeem items thing off of the inventory tab on the neocom, or contract?

Just redeemed my code for an Echo. It was between that and the Immolator for the unique hull design.
May your sleigh be snake-boosted, Santa.

I think this was my first EvEnt in my time as a capsuleer, and it did not disappoint! Not every day you get to experience a GM-jump.

I'd still like to get a medal for "BEST PILOT" though.

Space pixels are best pixels.

Though honestly I think the races could have been executed a tad better.
Maybe tell people to warp to a field or sun and line up so you can catch people who jump the gun, or have the target ship decloak as the 'starting bell'.

Anyway, great times all around, can't wait for the next one!

How did they get you your code?, Im still waiting on my plex and the whole ccp giving it to us thing makes it weird. Did yours come to your email or something?
