Locked Targets HUD change suggestion

I have a suggestion for the Locked Targets behaviour.

At the moment locked targets act in a kind of serial motion Shuffling from right to left on the HUD

I would like another option where the targets do not shuffle from right to left but leave empty slots when unlocked which are then taken up by any newly locked items.

I believe this will be a vast improvement because under the current design you can go to click a target, that target will suddenly be removed then from a users point of view you will unintentionally click the next queued target that shuffles into the original targets place.

There are many reasons why you may loose a lock on a target and therefore many reasons why the locked target portion of the HUD shuffles at very unpredictable times. Reasons include;

- targets destroyed
- moves out of range
- jumps a gate / wormhole / cyno
- you have incoming ewar
- target self destructd :)
- asteroid depletes
- wreck salvaged/destroyed

I like this idea. Crap stops moving around you don't accidentally alpha a blue.

I only see one problem, unless targets are manually sorted, there needs to probably be a bounding box to the area targets can take up on screen to avoid having them overlap or disappear behind other windows with odd or unusual hud setups.

Nice idea, I hate ending up with them moving like that.

Also a similar thing where, for example for a logi in incursions, be able to position your targets and then they stay in the same place for each time you lock them up. This would make putting links on them easier and generally allow you to lay your screen out with some level of control.

Anyway, it should be possible to switch between the non-shuffle mode and shuffle mode (which is best for PVE)

This idea would be far more useful than many minor features that have been added in recent times past.

Though, I'd like to comment, you can avoid the hassle of mis-clicking your follow-up target by mapping the next target and/or previous target shortcuts. It's useful for when you're actively handling targets.
