I'd like to ensure we have a mechanism to collect this kind of feedback for this particular aspect of EVE long term (beyond just this meeting). If you'd like to share your ideas please drop me an email, or reply here.

Anyhow, I want characters to be able to raise their arms
and Candi LeMews character to do so in that yellow suit.


Some people here have ideas that go way beyond usual effort.

Well, it was nice to hear from CCP themselves some of the plans they have and they can and want to do, their hurdles and what not. Seeing CCP Karkur there as a special guest was also nice.

I was really quiet because I am super shy, but I heard the whole thing!

Dropped a line about the potentials of full body cybernetic prosthetics aswell! I'm hopeful of seeing something out of it!

Also, they were very supportive on adding more backgrounds and- Oh shoot! I forgot to mention the gloves! Noooo!

CCP thanks for your time. This is my feedback for good/bad/working/not for clothing. I love my characters' form and clothing, and I don't care who knows it.

Good:


  • I like the trickle of new NES items with each release. It ensures there's something for everyone in each release.
  • Character customization reduced in price compared to a PLEX is great.
  • Gunner jackets are excellent for looking like motorcycle jackets. Unfortunately I don't identify with the factions enough to appreciate the prominent logo and patches visible on those items (and because of this I choose not to wear or purchase them).


Improve:

Portrait backgrounds. I like to have portraits that contain full black and full white in the shot for contrast. Many of the portrait backgrounds are too "busy" to make my character's face stand out. My favorite portrait backgrounds are simple and do not overpower the character's face. These are mostly the ones at the end of the list of backgrounds, with solid colors or gradients to black.

Requests:

I would like identical twins of my characters, perhaps a character resculpt variant that creates a copied appearance.

That was a great forum. Thanks to the CCP devs for coming and talking and listening, especially the surprise visit from CCP karkur.

At least now I understand where the torrent of t-shirts comes from.

It was constructive and informative, and it's great to hear that there are enthusiastic people on the CCP side who want to make this tiny but significant part of the game better.
