I miss my purple and lime green colour scheme. The low-contrast charcoal grey against black against space means I really can't see where my windows end and space begins.

Except for one "selected" window, which one might think would help, but in the end, just makes me end up clicking windows constantly, regardless of what I set transparency at, my options now are pretty much limited at, having one window too solid, or only one window properly solid.

Like you, I also wish I could have the two slider color system back, and varied colors.. and make everything look the same regardless of what is "selected".
And none of the options are high-contrast, why is that CCP?
Is contrast bad?

Other grudges remain:
It's like CCP didnt realize, that despite the impressive sounding theory behind this,
to me at least:
"cyan thing, near the top left" gets found WAY faster then "something that looks like a tiny factory, top left"

The fade effect on popup boxes is both annoying and slows me down a LOT when doing certain things, can I please just have the popup immediately?

Last but not least, thanks for fixing the keybinding issue :)

I hate to complain really, but I agree with those saying that the fade needs an option to turn it off. Every single market order change, or creation goes to the "you are selling x items" menu, and the entire screen fades before you press OK. I'm not sure what this adds to the experience. Is the fade supposed to bring attention to that warning? Does someone doing 300 market orders or adjustments a day need to have that warning faded in each and every time? I would say not.

I'd rather be able to set my windows to 100 opaque also but I seem to recall that was never possible? But seeing a shadow through them doesn't do anything for me and nebulas wash out the writing in many cases.

I do have a question about ships/ui colors. When the changes were first announced, I got on Sisi and I thought things seemed to look pretty good. I liked some of the themes (gallente 2 and there was some other generic green one I liked) but those changed between then and release. Gallente looks blue now. The ships don't seem to be the same either, gal ships are all chrome and no color. Has the rendering changed between the first day sisi testing and now? If so it was better before.

But today, they did fix the "clipping issues on Eternity dress tops"

Doing the important stuff first, clearly.

CCP Philosophy: If it works, break it. If it’s broken, leave it alone and break something else.

User Interface:

New Map: fixed home station icon not updating
New Map: fixed an issue causing the grouping menu to get stuck
Fixed an issue where binding of keys was not possible
Fleet window no longer selects all members in the fleet when scrolling the fleet window
Fixed an issue where opening and closing stacked windows would cause them to break

Key shortcuts and the fleet window were clearly the most important fixes needed.

Hey CCP,

Just wanted to let you guys know that the design, sound and animation for the Confessor is a cut above. Absolutely superb work! You've set a new standard for how good ships can look and feel in EVE, and I really hope you keep it up with further new ships and redesigns of current ones.

789 posts now, most of it to said that ppl don't like the new colors of the Windows, the lack of color and the design of the new icons and the color/light design on the ships, and not even one single answer of ccp on these topics ?

Not answering to so many posts remove all utility to the forums post patch and, imho, just give us a very bad impression about the poor opinion and the lack of respect you have for the players of your game guys.

Well, to be fair, many of those bugfixes, were probably easier and faster to do then fixing the design issues with the UI, and bugfixes are usually done by a different team then UI/new content design.
Plus that keybinding issue was kind of bad.

On the other hand, a complete lack of response after 40 pages doesn't exactly fill me with optimism.

Indeed, forget about the lost in subscriptions due to the new UI and plastic ships because there will be hell to pay if there is ANY clipping going on with spaceship barbies

I'm actually happy with the new "flat" UI in terms of icons. I'd prefer if there was some colour, but I found the old icons confusing: in a hurry I'd always confuse the market and inventory icons for example.

There is plenty of scope for slight colour cues on the flat icons to help navigate faster: e.g.: one end of the spectrum for assets & inventory (why aren't they the same window yet? :D ) and the other end of the spectrum for action options such as fitting, science & industry, and planetary interaction.

1. a button "Use old UI" please? I also have to back up people finding new theme unreadable. In old UI one could see right away right options assisted by colours. Why change nice, graphic buttons familiar to everyone to these "cheapish" ones? :( We will learn them allright but the change seems somehow unnecessary.

2. Rhea seems a bit more laggy to me also... the increased eye candy not worth it imho, old visuals already great.

3. "Selected item" active options "too bright" (a minor issue)

4. New "beta" map ok once information boxes implemented. At the moment no way to see "Average pilots in space..." etc. essentials!

5. Window transparency doesn't work well as it is. Old solution either seemed better or i just learned to use it well. Best would be independent transparency setting for each window settings. Now constant problems with new windows overriding old ones unreadable. Sometimes hard to find A window/frames in the mess.

6. Thank you for fixing direct flight controls! Super!! Makes up half of the above ;) Getting rid of obsolete clone upgrading also good choice.

7. Still waiting for clear marking to random acceleration gates about supported ship class!! (outside missioning) All too often finding optimal ship class after VERY frustrating trial and error (25 jumps back and forth fetching right ship). It would make perfectly sense "technical specs" were to be found on acc. gate Info tab.

My 7 cents.

I just noticed your #2 from being in combat on my second computer, performance in combat there was nearly cut in half, and to be honest, I cant actually see anything looking prettier during said combat.

Getting FPS cut in half in some cases, without me actually seeing any difference in appearance.. I think it's easy to guess my opinion on this.

I just wanted to give my thanks to the guys and gals over at CCP for the release of Rhea so close to the holidays.

A lot of people here are all like "where's my gifts? Gimme gimme gimme!" But I see the Rhea update as a good enough present for me, with is sexy skimpy latex 'eternity' catsuits, graphics overhaul and sweet Caldari ship designs (for me mostly the sexy catsuits). CCP in my eyes really outdid themselves.

I find that the people complaining about not getting gifts should be appreciative of what they already received. I for one am happy

Thank you CCP and merry Christmas!!

*grabs the nearest CCP employee and gives him a big hug and a big sloppy kiss*

Love Cosmic ♡♡♡ xoxoxoxo

PS sorry if this was already posted in another thread. I just really wanted to extend my thanks and appreciation to the hard working devs and employees at CCP Big smile

I have removed a rule breaking post and those quoting it.

The Rules:
31. Abuse of CCP employees and ISD volunteers is prohibited.

CCP operate a zero tolerance policy on abuse of CCP employees and ISD volunteers. This includes but is not limited to personal attacks, trolling, “outing” of CCP employee or ISD volunteer player identities, and the use of any former player identities when referring to the aforementioned parties.
Our forums are designed to be a place where players and developers can exchange ideas in a polite and friendly manner for the betterment of EVE Online. Players who attack or abuse employees of CCP, or ISD volunteers, will be permanently banned from the EVE Online forums across all their accounts with no recourse, and may also be subject to action against their game accounts.

In other words, posting (dis)satisfaction with (parts of the) Rhea release is fine. Taking it into real life however is not.
Also, rest assured that every post is read by CCP. All feedback, preferably as concise as possible, is welcome and will be read.

o/

I've opened a thread today to thank CCP for fixing what I've described here:
https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=5300682#post5300682

The thread got locked on account of being redundant Sad

The issue seems to be fixed for me, I wasn't joking or anything of the sort:
The delay I described doesn't seem to be there anymore.

I hate the new GUI.

Is monochrome buttons a hot new design trend for colorblind graphics artist awareness or something?

I can't find any of the sections now. This sucks.

Change it back please. Or give us some "ORIGINAL NON-SUCK EVE" theme for the people who used colors for their memory associations can find things the game once again.

Is it normal now to have a blinking mail icon every time I sign in even if I don't have any new mail or notifications? This didn't happen before this last patch.
