The removal of the ability to set our own custom color themes is rather disheartening. I'm not sure what the reason for that was. I personally would like a color scheme different than all the themes offered.

Dumbing down choices is never a good thing.

Sorry if it's been mentioned. but thats alot of posts to read through.

When you get a notification like Server Shuts down in X minutes. The entire screen blacks out as though you were disconnected. This brings constant moments of panic when it happens.

It includes. Fleet advert needs to be remade.
polarized timer notification when you try to jump a wormhole.

I would like to see it changed/adjusted to not look like a disconnect.

The colors of the Zephyr is bugged by the new light rendering --> Zephyr

Also the Amarr tech 1 ships used to be darker ships with golden plates, now they are incredibly pale as if all light is reflected.

I wouldn't mind the Gallente colours if they were done better, I just looked at the new Confessor model, it's truly beautiful, we need something approaching that level of care about colour maps.

The Gallente ships need a colour map redo. Engine nozzles something darker than crome, Engine spaces darker... just remapping everything as chrome highlighted all the flaws in the models.[/quote]

Roger that! I will give you some feedback and I hope they are not late because I thought I would get used to the new UI and icons but that, unfortunately, didn't happen.

The more I use the new UI and icons, the more I dislike them. It's uncomfortable, to say the least. I've tried every color scheme out there and could not find a single one that I feel good looking at it.

Adapt or die, that is one of the rules of EVE and I was always compliant, until now. I swear: I tried!

Please, bring us back the RGB sliders and some option to add colors to the icons.

They had a clean and buff on the gold. National Pride and all that.

i somewhat find my route difficult to see when the security status is made visible...

as well zooming somewhat makes the name of the systems i look for disappear...

when i select a constellation the camera reframe it in such a way that the systems names will not be visible...

the music activating with the map is a good idea but as of now a bit repetitive... although the way its sound changes when zooming is nice...

the solar system level is somewhat loosing me, i find it less "orientating"/clear than the older one...

I AM GETTING TO LOVE THIS NEW MAP, AND FIND IT ACTUALLY USEFUL EVEN WHEN IN COMBAT OR STRESSFUL SITUATION

THE WAY I CAN RESIZE IT AND PARTLY HIDE it UNDER OTHER WINDOWS TO HAVE IT HANDY IS VERY COOL...

After using the UI for a while both on Sisi and TQ, I am still having issues with the new Neocom icons -they are quite small and shape recognition is not one of my strong points, heh.

I think it would be nice the abbility to add "color tags" to some of the icons, just for people who rely on color on top of shape.

I mean something like this mock up

Right-click an icon, choose a color hue, done. It would be very helpful for people who "click that orange and blue thing on the middle left of the screen" rather than "click on the Firefox Icon".

The screen going dark whenever you get a notification while you're docked for somehing like removing a grouped weapon from the ship or unstacking something in your cargo hold etc.. is really distracting.

I had to take a break from eve for a year or so (can't afford to bring my old character back yet - times are hard etc) and made this character to see what had changed while I'd been away (after hearing that input broadcasting was getting beaten with a stick I just had to come back.) I'm not exactly sure what was brought in before this patch so I'll limit my feedback to the UI.

I like some parts of the new UI and I really like the old 80's LED effect that blinks on chat, and I think I'd prefer to see more of that kind of highlighting effect; for me that kind of lighting, the more subtle and classy suits EvE more than the neon highlighting on "station services" for example. The sidebar is too transparent for my taste though and it appears to me to be more of a problem than the icons. If you insist on keeping the sidebar this transparent I suggest you alter the icons to all be bright as if highlighted now and dim only the one being hovered over by the mouse or being selected.

I liked the blur effect at first, but turned it off after I had done a lot of traveling and found the blur distracting, and then ended up setting transparency to 30 which was pretty much how I used to have things on my old characters.... I'm sat in station while typing this and with my settings set as I've just described the sidebar looks incredibly weak compered to everything else. Sidebar blink would be much cooler if it matched the chat blink too - have i mentioned how much I like chat blink?

Icons: I'd like the "ship" in the ship fitting icon to be rotated about 120 degrees anticlockwise so it looks like the ship fitting window. I'd like the market icon to be a square around the existing icon - the index line is the dominant part of the icon and looks too similar to the map icon; I think a square all the way around it would make it easier to distinguish. I can live with the rest.

Buttons: Like I keep saying I would prefer the highlighting done the same as the top line in the options menu/chat channel picker. Buttons are weak in comparison.

It's a brave step to change the UI in eve (after all it hasn't changed that much since I started playing,) and I think it's a step in the right direction taking it where you are.

Hello,

I have specific lag issues that surfaced right after Rhea:

1- Transitioning from the log in screen to the character screen takes abnormally long time.

2- Transitioning from the character selection screen to the in-game screen takes abnormally long time. The character logs in and shows as online for other players, yet my screen is still black during the transitioning. The black screen period used to be very short.

3- Sometimes while jumping between gates, the gate stutters as soon as it appears on grid during the warp. It rubber bands in front of me until my ship actually lands at 0 meters.

More than 3 years of gameplay and I have never encountered this before.

I have no internet connection issues with all of my other online apps. My connection speed is stable and serving me as it has always done.

Many Thanks

You guys really screwed something up with this release. The feel of the game has changed in a way that is hard to define. I feel like I'm watching a toy leave a plastic toy headquarters when I undock now. It breaks the feeling of immersion every time. The ships no longer mesh with the environment. I don't like it... but maybe it's just me. Ugh

Don't worry, once they V3-ed everything, now they will PBR-ize it until Caldari ships stop looking like plastic. The Art Team must justify their salaries! Lol

Apparently the Dev's don't bother to read the feedback posts, this is just a place that players can vent without creating rage quit threads in the general discussion forums

There will be no dev posts, this thread is just about "feedback for expansion - deal with it and tell us your feelings but then , deal with what we gave you even if you didn't want it"

I miss my purple and lime green colour scheme. The low-contrast charcoal grey against black against space means I really can't see where my windows end and space begins.
