Dust and discussing how we will interact with them.

Please, please, oh, please CCP. Let us pod pilots transport the Dust players:

  • from planet to planet or station to station for either our own corp / alliance agenda.
  • for taxi fare.
  • As boarding parties or ship defences
  • ... or just to jettison as trash to show them what a "cruel and uncaring universe" they are in! Twisted

They can have "practice arenas" in our ships to shoot each other without penalties until we use them to engage enemies. Attention

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

Yo dawg, I heard you like PvP, so we put PvP arenas in your PvP ship so you can PvP while you PvP.

Dual boxing and auto-pilot? That would be awesome and give CCP more paid accounts. Blink

My completely uninformed call is that we'll transport the clone containers or something and the actual players will just jumpclone into them 30 seconds before the fight starts.

If CCP doesn't do this they're idiots.

CCP will probably let them spawn anywhere they like after they die. What?

"... because it would be too boring for them to have to wait on a planet with a travel contract open to pod pilots."

Hauling just jump clones would be boring. Sad

It's been stated in the blogs that the dropship type things contain clone reactivation units, so

Boo! Let's boycott this and kill anyone that transports for them, corp member or enemy until they make it more fun! Twisted

Fun? That'd be horribly boring and Dust would die in a few weeks. Then you have nobody to shoot at as nobody is there to actually be transported.
Also, hoping for much lols and tears from surface to orbit weapons.

YES PLEASE

All automated intel should be removed from the game including Instant local/jumps/kills/cynos for all systems/regions.Eve should report nothing like this to the client/3rd party software.Intel should not be force fed to players. Player skill and iniative should be the sources of intel.

I dunno

It'd be cool if we could warp to a planet, and then eject and anchor a floating barge with a clone bay and open a contract for a DUST corp to go f*ck the planet up.
Also if we could seed the colonies with stuff like space-meth or Blood Raiders.

Hopefully none. Since the likely hood of Dust even being around for very long or in any substantial fashion is slim. Plus after being on Xbox live and PSN while playing FPS's and hearing 13-14 year olds who are annoying as **** and think they are cool saying the N word every sentence. Its the last group I would want to "interact" with while playing Eve.

Put evil blood thirst pirates on planets just for target practice?

I like your style!

The 'transporting jump clones' idea seems most likely. Also, there were statements about how DUSTies would be able to move around on their own. I suspect they'll implement a system where DUSTies have a couple options for transport: A) Hire a capsuleer to move their ****. Probably be the cheapest/fastest bet, but prone to risks. B) Move their **** themselves on war-barges or whatever, unkillable by capsuleers. This would be slower, more expensive, and safer.

*this is wild speculation*

DUST arms/vehicles and clones could be produced in the game in DUST outposts or in space stations by capsuleers.
Dust corporations would be able to set up bases and outposts where arms are produced and planetary goods are extracted, and that can be attacked by other DUST corporations.
Capsuleers would be needed to move that stuff between planets, but in empire DUST player would be able to use some sort of NPC courier service.
War barges that act as mercenary bases would be piloted by capsuleers, moved into position around a planet and anchored there to attack 0.0, lowsec or WH planets.
Capsuleers would be needed to protect war barges from attacks and attack the hostile war barges, and mercenaries would be needed to defend and attack planetary infrastructure.

Of course, if DUST does not tie into sov directly the prices of mercenary equipment should be low otherwise there will not be any fight.
I think that the DUST-EVE link should be just about planet industry, but planet control through DUST should play a part in sovereignty. For example (there are better ideas for sure), the maximum sov level should be capped by the percentage of planets that you own in the system. If you own all planets, you can reach sov level 5; if you own at least 80% of the planets, you are capped at level 4 and so on.
