Hello,

What is the most efficient way to find someone you want to ******* destroy? I've put a bounty on this person and know what Corp. they belong to. Is there a way to find out what system someone is in or something of that nature?

Yes, you can use Locator agents. You can find one using the Agent Finder tool.

A level 4 locator agent will give you the location of any player in the EVE universe. Lower level agents have restrictions on the range they will locate a character within.

why yes, yes there is. if you have a certain standing with an npc corperation you can run what's called locator agents and depending on their location, will take several minutes to find the system they are in.

There seems to be conflicting reports as to whether a level 3 agent is universal or not.
I tend to rely on the EVE Uni wiki as it seems to be the best kept up with changes. It states the level 3 is universal, it just takes longer than the level 4 agent. http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Locator_Agents

If they are in a wormhole, they can not be located. If they live in a wormhole, you can usually look at their kill board and get a good idea of the hole they live in.
If they are offline they can be located, so make sure they are watch listed so you can tell if you are wasting your time or not once you know where they are, nothing like jumping across 20+ systems just to realize they are not online.

Also do some research on bounties. I'm not sure as your post was quite vague but you need to understand you can't kill someone just because they have a bounty.

Can you give us a some more detail on what happened? There may be info you left out that may help us guide you.

As a pirate and part-time Code enforcer I can state that yes, Level 3 locator agents are universal, they just take longer than L4 agents.

And as has been noted, if your target is in wormhole space you will get back a 'outside area of influence' message.

You will not be charged for the locate in that case, either.

Level 1 locators only work in the same solar system.

Some people think they are useless, actually they can be very useful indeed, and they are cheap and fast (as in instant).
Basically they can tell you if the target is docked up or in space.......which can save you a lot of time.

Level 2 agents can tell you if your target is in the same region or not. Again, cost and time make them useful. Be aware that given the nature of stellar mapping it is possible that your target can be in the star system right next to you and the L2 agent will not be able to help you because of regional boundaries.

As for Level 3's and Level 4's, they are universal. Level 3's are cheaper but take significantly longer than a Level 4.

You can also get an idea of how close your target is by how much the agent charges you to make the search. Generally, the cheaper the cost, the closer the target is.

And always remember that the locate only tells you where the target was at the actual moment you click on the locate button....if your target is moving fast he is not going to be where the agent says he was. Which is why locator services can get expensive very quickly if you are tracking multiple targets in real-time.

And if it isn't, it's your job to make it a trap...:)

Also...

Adding a bounty on a person or corp does not give you the right to shoot them as you please.

Unless...

They are not in Highsec.
You are war with them. So you can kill them anywhere, including highsec.
You have a killright you can activate. So you can kill them anywhere, including highsec.
Oh and they are between -5 and -10 in sec status.
