Oh, I'm paying attention. That Khanid woman had a nice build and an earnest face. I think she would've done quite well in my colony, and I'm short two workers already.

Who profits from this? In any murder investigation, you have to follow the ISK. Who profits?

The Matar? No, because they have enough fuel for their fire.

The Amarr? Yes, somewhat. It gives them a chance to show a humane side and by dragging the Caldari into it, helps keep our alliance strong. Common enemy and all that. "This does not represent the Empire or the State, we must pull together to combat these atrocities, etc."

It really helps the Sisters and CONCORD a lot. We're off chasing down this stuff and we ignore what's playing out in the real world. Bait and switch.

Besides for looking at prospects for your slave stock... Its one thing to die on a battlefield, or for something in general. Half these people died for some psychopath's message he's trying to convey. So pointlessly...

What does anyone die for, if not a message?

Either it all means something, or it's all in vain. I believe was have progressed beyond the potential for a middle ground in that regard. The only concession I'm willing to make on that topic is that meaning or vanity is in the eye of the beholder.

That is to say, if one believes in something, there is meaning. If not...

When you glorify one pointless death while decrying another, you really tell us more about you than either killer. The end justifies the means - hillarious choice of words given the fact that there IS no endgame to Ushra'Khan'ts actions and even the one that they pay lipservice to isn't advanced one step by their actions.

May I ask how that tells more about me? What that says is I support the Republic, which why would I deny? Killing those who participate in a warzone is something I also feel is much better than kidnapping an innocent person and killing them. They put themselves into a dangerous place, the kidnapped victims did not. My own personal feelings towards the Militia I served in, well they're personal for a reason.

Yeah, yeah. Thought she was comparing those killed on one side to those killed on the other. You and she are both right that a hundred casualties for a reason are better than a single death out of sadistic urges.

Transmission begins.

The camera shows a dusty brown plain covered with dark, flat rocks of various sizes. In the distance, a group of short, as if squashed, trees spread their twisted, coppery-looking branches over the lifeless dry dirt. The sky is deep violet. Several small moons can be seen over the horizon.

A large Brutor man sits on the ground, casting a long shadow. His face is pale - as much as is it possible with his skin color - and covered with sweat. He is obviously struggling to sit still, as if it takes all his strength to do so.

Behind him, looms a strange ten-feet figure covered in black drapes with a Molok mask attached to where the head is supposed to be. The figure is humanoid in shape, but its mechanical movements and glints of metal under the drape betray either a bipedal drone or an industrial-grade exoskeleton.

"What the hell, man." - The brutor groans. - "This gravity is killing me!"

The mechanical Molok makes a faint gesture. His synthetic voice is distorted. He answers with a opening line from a Gallente hologame that was popular a decade or so ago.

"The pain will only be passing. You should survive the process."

"...After all, it's only 3 g's. Oh wait. I forgot that you grew up on a tiny dirtball and spent the rest of your life on ships and stations? A pity. But enough. Please, tell us about yourself."

The brutor mutters a curse.

"Well. I'm Hardbako Hrangur. I'm from Eystur. I'm a pilot. What else?"

"Please tell us about your past. What were you before turning into a capsuleer and how you became one?"

"I served as a gunner on the Orinn Rising, Maelstrom-class. We were doing Sanshas, mostly. Incursion fleets. Cap'n was a good girl. She got us all tested, I was compatible, so she sponsored me. Said I would make a good 'nado alt. But she retired while I was still in RMS."

"So your sponsor retired, and you were no longer an "alt". You were free to choose your fate as a new pilot. What did you do?"

"Uh. What everyone does? I checked the career agents. I can't mine or do indy stuff. I know nothing but them big guns. Missions pay good ISK for a poor man like me. I started doing missions for the fleet and the tribe."

"And then?"

"What? I was in frakkin' Rens. Got a drink, a girl. And then - BAM - i'm here. What do you want, man? Ransom? I have no stuff but a Ruppy and like two mil isk, so you want those?"

"A drink and a girl in a bar in Rens. Tsk, tsk... No, I do not want your stuff. I'd like to ask you something. Do you know how many people you killed yesterday?"

"Dunno. A hundred?"

"One destroyer is a hundred. And there were many, many destroyers and cruisers. I'd say five thousand people, at least. You were going to be a prodigious LP and ISK farmer if not for that unlucky drink."

"..."

"Do you consider yourself a warrior?"

The brutor tries to turn around and look at the Mechanical Molok.

"If you consider yourself a warrior, why instead of facing equals on the battlefield you chose to mindlessly and repeatedly murder thousands upon thousands of helpless baseliners?"

"Helpless? Helpless who, Angels and Amarrians? Are you mad?"

"Compared to you, they were helpless. By the time you'd get to level IV assignments, you would have murdered millions."

"You are mad."

"I may be. So why you did not sign up to fight other capsuleers? There are money to be made on the front lines, and there is shiny stuff to loot. So why not?"

"You are joking. I'm just out of RMS. I'd be dead in seconds."

"Exactly. You preferred easier targets."

"..."

"You are not a warrior, you are a butcher, like most capsuleers, and a disgrace to your tribe. While you killed baseliners, the 24th crusade took Evati, the last Matari stronghold in the warzone. You are guilty. I sentence you to a life of exile."

"What the..."

"This planet has a gravity of almost three times standard and is really large. There is no edible flora or fauna. The nearest human settlement is about eight hundred kilometers from our location. The sun already rises, by the noon it'll be comfy 50 degrees Celsius. Have fun."

The Mechanical Molok turns and begins to walk away, like a twisted hydraulic marionette. His long black drape flaps heavily in the morning wind.

"No!! No!! damn you, you can abandon me here like that!"

Hardbako Hrangur rises to his feet and with a roar tries to run after the Molok, but falls to his knees after a few yards.

"F--k you!!"

The screen goes dark.

So is this a second copy cat? or the original? I don't think either of the first 2 would go after a Brutor.
