Question regarding FW medals

I am still a bit confused as to the medal mechanics in FW.

In case of total system domination (all systems captured), who will be entitled to a medal and what if major contributors with highest ranks, left the militia before, while isk plexers that never shot down one enemy, really cared much for the politics behind it, get a guaranteed medal.

What is the mechanics behind it, does anyone know? Thanks in advance.

Considering you have nobody left to shoot down, i guess everyone will be treated as a farmer and gets the same medal.

do you now about people of highest rank that left the militia already some months ago? Do they also get one?

IIRC it was anyone active in militia during any point of the previous 3 months.

Oh wow, it's too late now anyway. Been away just 3 or 4 days and this is insane. Winmatar really poured all the farming power they had into it. I can't wait for all the pretend "We did it" posts.

Be advised no one is "entitled" to a medal for complete warzone control. CCP has only granted medals twice, respectively to Caldari and then Gallente, both for their first ever warzone total occupation (about 2900 medals for gallente). Successively and to many's discomfort no medal has been granted for the second Gallente conquest earlier this year.
As for the eventual criteria to be qualifiable for the medal, I believe CCP granted it to anyone that has had more than zero Victory Points conquered during the precedent few weeks of the campaign, and still in militia when the final system was taken of course. Which means the farmers all got a shiny medal for their valuable and honorable contribution to spreading galactic democracy Smile

Caldari captured all systems and held it for a couple of months.

Gallente capture all systems and kept it for a couple of hours until already loosing it.

Both got medals.

Under those circumstances, I am sure Amarr will get their medal too as they just captured all systems.

The better question is: If CCP doesn't give Amarr a medal, will it at least rename the militia to "25th Imperial Crusade" ?

last time the medals were awarded it was awarded to all people who ran a complexe in the last week or something.

would really, really suck not to get a medal after all those hours we spent holding the line when Amarr was ISK -strapped from perpetual T1. the fact that Minmatar imploding lead to an easier final push the past few weeks doesn't diminish the fact that Amarr bounced back from 1-2 systems held while grossly outnumbered many times.

I do understand Fozzie's point of view. However, CCP staff need to understand as well the extremely rare even of total warzone control. It isn't as if they have to do it every few months.

Complete warzone is extremely rare, it happened I believe 2-3x in the whole eve history. Why Amarr would under this circumstance not get a medal would not be logical. Total warzone domination and control is an achievement that needs to be rewarded by the empress !

Strangely rumour has it: CCP Fozzie handed the medal making machine to CCP Grave. Which means it's stowed in a locker with a Minmatar badge on it.

You should have gone down kicking and screaming. It was the respectable thing to do either way for an organisation that has been so heavily involved in Factional Warfare.

Inevitability is more or less and excuse. It is inevitable that the tides will turn and the pendulum will swing. That does not mean you should accept that.

I'll at least give it to Smile n' Wave that they stuck around and put up some fights. That is, in a totally OOC manner, respectable.
