IWI gets more popular after Somer get banhammered.

Every smart pilot knows that those lotteries are scams.

But now IWI uses its popularity to ask for real money "donations" for server costs.

Is this an EULA violation to earn money with a 3rd party site?

I don't imagine their site falls under EULA. After all, the site is separate from the EVE server and its activities. If that site is against policy, then so is zkillboards, Gevlon Goblins blog, SA forums etc. However, that is not the case

Not better or worse than selling PLEX as a legal reseller.
It's not like anyone is forced to pay money and they aren't promising any ISK
for giving them money.

CCP allows people to do that. This is common all over the internet.

Eh. I don't really see how a donation (that clearly says it's a donation system) could be a scam. But advertising doesn't make much sense either (unless you're he owner), since it's not a referral link.
