Why so many Eve patches

Why does Eve have so many patches., nearly every day there is a patch. All the other games I play do not have the number of patches that Eve have. Is it a way that the game designers / prorammers can ensure that they keep themselves employed.

If you want to know why there is a patch read the patch notes.

Also, how many 10 year old games are you currently playing that are still constantly changing?

Because some Dev in Iceland said in a meeting, "This player, Orny, doesn't like having to download patches. Why don't we fix a few bugs every day, just so we can annoy Orny by making him download a patch every day."

When all the other Devs thought this was a great idea, they then implemented it.

I remember trying to 'play' that.

Pretty sure I spent more time mucking around in the save file XML to fix bugs than actually playing it.
