Short and sweet, I got an answer to 1 question in this thread but it's locked so couldn't ask further questions. Rather than everyone leave corp and mess up corp history I plan to leave current corp and setup a hi-sec POS, eventually I will want to rejoin, will "my" POS then be regarded as corp property as this is what we plan on ?

An interesting question. I do not know the answer for certain, if I am honest, so am just giving it a friendly bump.

I suspect it is the property of the corp tho, so I doubt it would come back to your old corp with you, but rather stay as the property of whatever corp you went to. However, if you were the only member, and the corp was dissolved, I really have no idea what would happen then...........

POS's are Corp property only a corp with the proper standing can anchor a POS in highsec and that is from .7 sec down.

You should also know that a present the only thing an non corp member can do at a POS is use the Lab.

Also if you anchor the POS in highsec you must leave a care taker alt as ceo in that corp or no one will be able to fuel the tower after you leave.

That's maybe because there is a whole other forum area called "Science and industry" where these kinds of questions are answered. Bear

There is no such thing as "your" POS. The moment you click "launch for corp" the POS becomes a property of the corporation you are currently in. From that moment, nothing will change the ownership of the tower, other than destroying or unanchoring it. It doesn't matter if people (including the person who launched the POS) leave or join the corp.

Therefore, there is (currently) no way to transfer ownership of an online POS from one corp to another.

Have to mess up corp history or you can hire people with high standings to join your corp to raise it then place a pos down. Also takes 7 days for standings to change then put up pos.

If you create a new corp I believe that corp immediately inherits your standings. However if you join a corp that an alt was "holding" for you, you will have to wait 7 days for your standings to be applied to it.

Standings are required ONLY to anchor/online the tower. Therefore if you make the corp with a toon that has sufficient standing and anchor/online the tower, then give the corp to another toon that has no standing and the corp standings eventually fall, it doesn't matter since the tower is already anchored. You can anchor and online guns, modules, etc with the other toon that has no standing. If you un-anchor the tower however you will NOT be able to anchor it again.

Remember that this second toon is the only one who will be able to use the POS if you leave the owning corp with your main. Your main can always duck into the forcefield if he uses the right password, however he will not be able to use the hangars/modules or fuel the POS, etc.

Remember you do not need ANY standing at all to anchor a POS in low sec. However you still need starbase charters for 0.3 and 0.4, and you can be attacked by others (especially capital ships) without a war dec.

Hope this helps.

used to be that way, i believe it was changed a few patches ago. .4 and lower no longer need charters.

This is incorrect. If you create a new corp, everybody including the CEO and founder is a new member, so will not have their standings included in the average for 7 days. I've tried it.

Corp standings are calculated daily at downtime. They are a simple average of the unadjusted standing (i.e. before skills) of all members that have been the the corp at least 7 days, and have an entry on their character sheet for the given entity.
