Well this is unfortunate. Thoughts? If there is no stream to watch, I think I'll have to refund the ticket purchase that was made. :(

I very much look forward to reading it. If Leto is planning to PLEX tank though you might be in trouble. I hear PLEX tank is OP.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN OF CRIME & PUNISHMENT, WE HAVE A WINNER!

After some minor technical difficulties involving locals camps and fitting mods, I met Leto Thule on the field of battle. I awaited him in space in a safe spot that was off-scan from all celestials and allowed him to warp to me at a range of his choosing. This seemed only fair as I chose the system.

As I orbited the jetcan in my Vexor Navy Issue, I suddenly see a Deimos on scan. My heart races. I start getting sweaty. Leto lands on grid and immediately starts pounding on me with his blasters. My drones tear through his shields and get him into armor. I see his armor repping and wonder if I have enough DPS to break him. My shields are gone. My armor is dropping fast. He dips into structure. His armor shoots back up. Can I break his tank? Will my tank hold?

But in the end, I was victorious.

I was wholly unable to dictate range, but with my drones doing the shooting, in the end I didn't need to. I congratulate my comrade in arms for braving the wilds to meet me in honorable combat, and I would fight by his side any time.

ALL HAIL THE BIG FAT FORUM MEANIE!


Many thanks to Leto Thule for indulging me in this little adventure, to Tengu Grib for trying (albeit unsuccessfully) to turn it into an event (which we must try again some time), to Myst3rious En1gma for contributing ISK for our ships, and everyone else who was interested, donated, or just sat around eating popcorn.

Seriously though, I do wish I could have seen the fight. Killmails are nice but they lack the flashing lights and the booms.

I agree, and I tried to get twitch to work...

We would like to expand this event..

Maybe a C&P grudge match series... Would be awesome if we could get the contenders to agree to it. Just think of the possibilities...

Unless they make stations destructable I don't think the VS Veers fight would be that interesting unfortunately.

I would have thought that too.... But his killboard is pretty green. He's just a tool, so you get to thinking he can't pilot.

I tend to agree. This was a lot more fun than I had anticipated. If we want to make this work we will need some way of guaranteeing we can stream, or at least FRAPS it. Maybe come up with a list of "trustworthy" (and I use that term loosely as this is Crime & Punishment) observers to broadcast/record matches?

I noticed this as well and could not help but wondering if it was the same player running that character. There is always the possibility that we've outed him in his transgendered double life here by accident, and I'm strangely comfortable with that.
To be fair he's always nattered on and on about PVP belongs in low and null, not high... and most of that green is in low and null.

I'm glad to hear that the fight went well.
The ticket sales isk has been returned to it's contributor.

I look forward to participating in organizing another such event. I do know a guy who can record and publish the video to youtube. He does videos for KSP and Factorio. Wouldn't take much to convince him to record something like this, bigger problem would be making sure he's around to do it.
