I tried launching game through steam. the launcher had to update after which it asked me to put in my username and password. This account was purchased 13 days ago well after the steam eve integration so I never had to set up a password when I created the account. Anyhow I put in my steam info and it told me invalid username and password. So I tried to mess around with it and it created another trial account with no game time on that one. I deleted the eve client from steam and re-installed it. it is still not recognizing my credentials through steam to log into this account. is there a way to reconnect the steam creds to eve launcher or is there a work around. or am I just screwed out of an account I've already paid 30+ USD for in the last month.

As far as I know, regardless whether you are launching from steam or stand-alone, the credentials you signed up with EVE Gate are the ones you have to use for the EVE client. If said credentials are different from your steam credentials, this might be why you can't log on, otherwise it seems odd you can log into the forums but not the EVE client.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

when loging in through steam it uses your steam credential you don't get a username and password spot your are suppose to just get a launch button. I think this is a steam issue it's not recognizing and launching. This is reaffirmed by if you log into secure.eveonline.com with a steam account the username is Steam User.
