No necessarily Rhea related but how about the ability to set different sort orders on different tabs of the overview? I thought overview tabs were brilliant and the inability to have them sort differently was negligent.

thanks

This patch seems good so far. I love the ability for us to take out low-cost fleets with all SP ranges and not have people worrying about unnecessary clone costs.

A lot of good changes lately from CCP!

Especially the one where Greyscale isn't at CCP any more!

I really wanted to like the new UI, but I really don't.

Please CCP:

1) Let people freely choose color combinations, the presets are not so bad but they all really look very similar, also there's no total black background

2) Put an opt-out for the 'dynamic window brightness' thing. It's nice the first 10 times, then it becomes massively annoying, especially when you're going back and forth between windows (for example, when updating dozens of market orders)

I actually like the new style, but functionality-wise some more options are necessary imo to give everyone a 'smooth' experience.

The transparent windows with the blurr effect almost don't show other UI elements through them.
When the opacity is almost full, I can understand of course, but when the opacity is at a minimum, it should show UI elements below way more accurately, just like what happens, without the blurr effect.

The new lighting effects are beautifully done, the beta star map is gorgeous, can't wait to see it fully released.
Manual controls are fun to play around with. The new UI looks good, and I like being able to switch theme colors, or even have it auto match the theme with my current ship. Most of the new icons are easy to identify, only a couple i had to mouse over once or twice to see what it was.

The new amarr T3 destroyer looks amazing, would love to see the caldari version. Big smile

-Window and tab titles are almost impossible to read while at 90% UI.
-As people noted, window blink is almost impossible to see.

Very nice patch CCP!

  • Love the new UI with the blurryness see-through
  • I like the new graphics of the ship-models - it's a pity you almost never see the ships when fighting, you're always zoomed out to achieve situational awarness. Oh, and having to strip the expensive capital rigs of your Dread to get those cool new skins painted on the hull is really bad game-design! Can't painters 30 000 years into the future paint ships that are allready fitted and rigged?! That's so low-tech tbh!
  • The new beta-map looks very VERY promising! Please ensure there is an option to always keep the map centered on your current location, when using it in a free window, it's hard to scroll around trying to find your current location when roaming. You easily get lost.

Keep the good work up, CCP!

I know you dont "officially" support multiboxing, but please, for the love of the empress, the new UI colors all look alike!
Really need to be able to set colors manually AND on what items, to make them stand out.

On the Neocom most crucially, as that's always up. Pretty please. This will lead to disaster...

I dont mind all the bars being transparent, however.
I would rather have the old bar on the left side of the screen (Neocon) with the colored icons more than a transparent one.

The color sheme you had made for easy quick reference, maybe its just me.

The only people who would find those icons and UI clearer, prettier or more user-friendly are designer types who only partially live in the real world. For ordinary humans, they are just dull, grey, boring and completely unintuitive. We don't want to be force fed this crap. Stop wasting time breaking things that weren't broken!

That so many people complain about headaches is a serious concern. How can you develop computer games without any concern about epilepsy? Giving your customers epilepsy is probably not the best way to keep them around...

Also, the new blink effect of the chat tabs is bugged, if you slip your mouse over a tab by accident it stops blinking. Slightly inconvenient when a hostile fleet of 100 was reported next door in your intel channel... I've reported this as a bug, which it seems to be.

Overall I think the ships look better than before, a nice improvement overall. But as before, why on earth would you have cammo paint on a space ship!? It is beyond stupid! What do you do when enemies arrive and you need to hide: do you activate your futuristic cov ops cloak or do you go looking for a forest to blend in with?

The wh changes sound awesome. Even though I don't live in wh-space nowadays, I would guess that the wh player-base will be very excited. This is the kind of new content you should focus on in upcoming expansions.

Manual flying with keys doesn't seem like something I would ever need.

Thanks for finally getting rid of the annoying clone upgrades!

A LOT of people seem to be "liking" all the posts which HATE the UI. Hope you took notice of that trend. The UI IS BORING and DULL. I for one, prefer the option of adding a little color.

Nothing is broken here. And nothing is crap here. The new icons are perfect. Easy to read and less distractive than the older ones. We are talking about Icons and nothing essential for the gameplay. The whole GUI is not so dominant anymore. When you have adapted to the icons they will become intuitive. It will just take a bit to adapt.

New icons and interface are just...

uniformization

You do such a great job CCP in many other fields but for god's sake hire graphic designers for the interface,
do not let only unix junkies coders/sysadmins recently converted to kunbuntu take control of it

At least give us some possibilities of personalisation,

the color themes are just.... words are missing

lacking imagination ?

keep them as it is if some pple like it but give us at least the possibility to do something else with a real variety of choices
