When the theme is set to "Dark Matter" the blink is very hard to see.

I normally leave EVE open and watch for when tabs blink to go check it and when i'm not even 10 feet away i can't tell if a tab is blinking or not.

Could you make it easier to see that a tab is blinking when using this theme?

As someone suffering from several neurological disorders I must say CCP have made playing Eve nearly impossible for me. The focus switching animations are making me literally sick and I must limit my playtime to very short periods of time.

Massive failure and if this is not reversed or made optional this might just make me unsub entirely as it makes my playstyle nearly impossible.

After buying it and trying to paint my Moros I realized the Moros needs to be repackaged to be able to be skinned :(

Not fun at all with a T2 capital rig and two other capital rigs, thats like a 300+ million loss to repackage it. Why can't we paint assembled ships? At least add some information on the NES page telling us that we need repackaged ships to be able to use the skins.

Because that's how microtransactions work. Deception, deception, deception.

Thank god he didn't have to actually spend real money on it.

That false consensus effect, though.

Seriously. If you can't figure out that an envelope is the mail box or that a triple chevron is fleet, I don't know what to say to you. I got the corp button correct on my first try--it is marvelous design on CCP's part. EVE isn't supposed to look like an episode of my little pony anyway FFS.

You also have to love how about a 20 or 30 posts by the same 6 people in a thread suddenly turns into 7 pages of people complaining about what he doesn't like. Smile

Loving the new icons, LOVING THEM.
The whole interface is cleaner and more easily navigated, I was always confusing some of the old icons so this change is great for me.

A solution to the complaints about icons could be to let the players (or those who like skinning) skin icons in much the same way "icon Packager" allows you to skin icons for windows, how feasible this is I don't know.

New starmap is excellent too.

Good job all round.

Ok so fast first impressions..

New map looks great, though I'm having couple issues.
1. Won't show the route/waypoint progression when you select destination.
2. Systems options come up only when you right-click the name. Would be convenient if we could right click on the sun as well.

The new UI adds to the sci-fi / futuristic look. However needs some tinkering. Neocom icons need some sort of color or 'pop out' design so they are more distinguishable. I got better overall results turning the transparency waaaay down in most color themes.

Ships with the new PBR look beautiful. Especially love the metallic parts design on the Gallente ships and the gold/white on the Amarr. Caldari Navy seems to be a big downgrade though. Outfit tool when in stations changes some colors. i.e gold parts on the Maller look greenish in outfit tool while they look gold in station hangar. Also some ships seem to have an intense glossy finish while others are almost lifeless/damp. Intended or to be fixed?

On new/revamped ship models. The new Onyx / Eagle designs look interesting but...hmm well I just though "here have some boxes" when I saw them. Colors look good though. Blackbird and variations...Yaay no more erm, whatever the last model was. Still some strange "boxes" around those hulls, but I guess they fit into the "special ewar" ship theme. Just personal preferences here ofc.

Fly safe o7.

p.s. Also to those saying they will unsub their accounts because ''insert reasons to be mad here'' ...
Can I have your stuff please? Thanks! (Sorry couldn't resist)

You know most LCD screens contain those controls built in.

Actually studies have shown that feedback is actually a pretty useless indicator of what people really want. What it is, however, is an excellent indicator of what people think they want.

As Malcolm Gladwell says
Quote:

If I asked all of you, for example, in this room, what you want in a coffee, you know what you’d say? Every one of you would say ‘I want a dark, rich, hearty roast.’ It’s what people always say when you ask them what they want in a coffee. What do you like? Dark, rich, hearty roast! What percentage of you actually like a dark, rich, hearty roast? According to Howard, somewhere between 25 and 27 percent of you. Most of you like milky, weak coffee. But you will never, ever say to someone who asks you what you want — that ‘I want a milky, weak coffee.'

You may not know what you do like but I'd wager most people know what they do dislike

Indeed, in fact it can be summed up in one word.

Change.

Which must be pretty frustrating for them, since change is inevitable. Smile

Yea. Amazing blurry mess in which you can't see anything properly !
Thanks god it's optional...
You get that it's a beta, right?

I mean, I agree the bloom is over the top at the moment, but it doesn't even have half the features of the old map yet. Obvious work in progress is obvious.

Hey, it could be worse... I've already seen people threatening to quit if they can't get the old map back!

Yeah, I know... Big smileBig smileBig smile

IDK if others have encountered this one:

Starting up a client in windowed mode it is not maximised. If I choose a character before maximising, all good. If I maximise before choosing a char, I get the eve logo at the top and rest of screen black. Left it for 5 mins to see if it'd right itself but it didn't.

CCP - I'm continually impressed by your work and the game. While I'm still fiddling around and it will take a little to get use to, I'm a fan of your continual improvements.

Possible suggestion for the color of the overview? I see an option for the type of ship you're flying.

Would it be possible to have an option to match the part of space we're flying in?

Also - I don't know where development suggestions might go so I'll throw it in here. Would it also be possible to have an option when setting waypoints etc to have "insert waypoint here".

So if I have a 30 jump route and want to stop 1/2 way - I can add a waypoint that's already part of the route without it adding it after the final destination?

Change can be positive, however I seriously hope this isn't the final iteration of the UI because there are still issues here

A man is at a stadium watching a baseball game. He is hungry, so he goes to track down some food. He comes across a curious stand with a sign saying "Buddhist Hot Dog Vendor." He walks up to the stand and asks for a hot dog.

The vendor says "okay, that'll be $1.50."

The man hands the vendor two dollar bills and takes his hot dog.

There is a pregnant pause, and then the man asks, "hey, buddy, where's my change?"

The vendor says, "change comes from within."

Why has every ship the same (rifter) icon in my ship hangar? I do not own a single rifter. Why?
To whom makes that actually sense?
(Despite the fact that this ship icon looks more like a birthday cake with way to much candle brightness...)

You don't want to be doing that thou. Then everything else you do on that monitor will look worse. I say give us control over the Icons. Allow the community to creating Icon and Theme Packs. AKA Modding in Eve, it not new to the industry at large. It will just be new to Eve Online.

Don't like the new colour schemes for trading in station.

I'm unable to select one anything like i previously had before (and was used to,) nor can I do anything to rectify it.

Change is one thing - but why remove the option to tinker with the colour scheme?

I'm finding it hard to consider any logic as to why removing the ability to tinker wouldn't be perceived as a backward step in any development meeting.

Trying to make the game simpler for those of simple ilk at the detriment of those who like to be creative is about the only conclusion that can be surmised.

Bring back the ability to fine tune the colour schemes please.

Yeah and I really wanna be going through my monitors settings every time I change games rather than just setting it up once and not having to touch it again.
