UI - blinking windows

With the new UI most theme colours make it hard to actually notice when a window is blinking. Particularly Dark Matter but most darker shades.
I'm not a big fan of having a bright shiny ui so is there any chance you could fix the blink to be brighter and more noticeable?

Also, would you be able to fix the thing whereby moving from one tab to another takes a whole second. Pretty sure yesterday under the old ui this was a near instant transition.
