I was going to respond with the highlights from my last month's fanmail.

But then I saw that after anonymising, removing the death threats and accounting for the profanity filter there would be pretty much nothing but punctuation and stars.

Some people really do take this rather too seriously.

I don't understand why I never get this stuff. I've been actively trading for over 5 years, pretty successfully by most measures, and have never ever had a single bit of hate mail. I feel left out Sad

That means you need to be more of an e-******* in your market PVP.

If you really want tears, EVEmail someone that buys a large amount of something from you and tell them "Saw you were buying Quantum Microprocessors, I'm sitting on a quarter million more units in the same station, want to buy a bulk lot, I'll give you 6% off", then send them a 'factor of ten' scam as a private contract (so send them a contract for 7500 units for 3 billion ISK instead of 75000 units if your discounted bulk price was 40000).

If they take it, wait until they realise and type back "Good fight".

That's just common or garden scamming though ...

My trade set-up aims to maximise my profit. I can't really imagine gimping it just to get tears. On the other hand, I know Rykker used to get lots of hate mail running a similar set-up to mine so there must be some button I'm not pushing. Probably just that I have always looked for market waves to ride rather than splashing the water to create them.

The difference between scammers and traders I guess. The only hatemail I ever got was concerning the cans I was leaving around highsec with 'RON PAUL' stenciled on them.

Btw these are only obscure items with low turnover, which is why a person would maybe feel ownership over them.

I wasn't being all inclusive.

and actually i remembered one a couple of weeks ago where a guy sent me a flaming mail for scamming him and selling him 1000 dread guristas missiles at 150,000isk a pop.
I mailed him back showing him that yes they actually cost that much and he later apologized.

Haha, some put the trade hate on their Bio.

And they update the "Bio-hate-mail" almost immediately after updating their undercut/uppercut unsold/unfilled orders.

I've seen several amusing threats and I keep a huge screenshot catalog... you never know if you will need them later.

So, read the Bio, you can find your "hate message" there. Lol

If your balls are hurt and bleeding don't sit in a pool full of piranhas (note to myself: don't complain in GD)

People are generally pretty chill about being scammed actually. I rarely get hate mail when I scam.

Now, if you blow up their 30m isk mining barge or bump it off an asteroid you should prepare to receive RL death threats and people hoping you get cancer.
