New UI very bad. Grey noncolored icons awful. Why you remove RGB settings?

Jesus christ, CCP. Why do you do this to me. You screw up things no one has even been complaining about. The old UI was great. Why the change? To make the game look more futuristic, or something like that? It's crap.

My first impression. Not good.

And after 10 minutes of playing, my eyes hurt from it. Thank you CCP.

I won't be able to play this game anymore unless you do something about it.

You can set the transparancy to 0 on the slider... Escape menu.

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

Keyboard control feedback

This is imho a great option to have in game. PLEASE do not remove it. it just changed boring clicking into FUN piloting.
This is one MAJOR GAMEPLAY IMPROVEMENT for me.
GOOD JOB!
Whoever came up with the idea,THANK YOU!

wish:
1. remove the restriction which is similar to the camera restriction if possible -> it would be absolutely great to be able to do full loops
2. possibility to change from "pitch" and "yaw" (as it is now) to "pitch" and "roll" old DOS games style, although all 3 options (pitch roll and yaw) would be absolutely fantastic to have and be able to use unrestricted (as i meant at point 1)

Will we ever see this ban lifted, IMO in many cases t3 ships are rarely in a better spot for 3/10-4/10 complexes than; Ishtars, Gilas, Stratios, VNI, and most HACs.

Agreed, I quit a little over a year ago because of this ban on SC's, I just came back to check things out and if I find that my SC is locked out of personal 4/10 .... I'll be gone for good

RGB sliders MUST come back.

Yes, you add multiple themes but honestly, all of them are just black with a small touch of color. This is a useable UI for me, what you provide with Rhea is NOT.

You can add whatever features you want, it won't compensate any bad choices about the UI. Windows 8 is the perfect proof of it.

So please, RGB sliders MUST come back.

The manual piloting ability is a step in the right direction. I can't help feel though that the vertical axis should move with the ship. It may be my real world piloting experience that makes me feel this way but I also now REALLY want to be able to fly loops and other manoeuvres which sadly is still not yet possible. Please make this happen.

Also I play Eve on a 42" Plasma TV (I'm sitting quite close at about 3 feet) and I'm finding the new UI schemes all make my eyes hurt reading text. Can we not get any text adjustments? Size, brightness, even font?

Yes, the "hologram" optics are a matter of taste. But the old icons... This is a NO GO, every aspiring designer learns in school in the first week. They looked not simply out-dated, they were just bad. Illegible, terrible for usability. Even if it hurts, it's the right thing to trash the old icons... No more confusion.

I disagree about these new icons being less confusing; I find them to be more so.

In-Station:
- "Insurance" and "Fitting" icons look almost identical.
- 3 Icons (with different, unrelated purposes) have a "shield" as part of their design (Loyalty Point Store, Ship Insurance, and Bounty Office.)
- The "Loyalty Point Store" icon is curently a shield with a star in the center and 6 arrows radiating outward. I fail to see how that better conveys the concept of "loyalty" than the previous icon of a uniformed officer with hand-over-heart.

Neocom:
- "Personal Assets" (box-safe icon): Previously very easily recognizable as a box-safe; current version less so. Is that a gear on the front of that icon meaning something about configuration or... oh wait, that's supposed to be a box-safe... I guess.
- Map and Market icons now look more similar to each other - the prior color differences helped differentiate these two.
- Journal icon is less clearly a "Journal" compared to before. Perhaps adding a slight upward curvature to the top and bottom edges of the pages would help.

From a subjective standpoint, I find the new icons to be dull, flat, and uninteresting compared with their predecessors. Color and depth enhance meaning and recognition.

Can I have my old GUI back? these new ones (especially the station icons) are so small and counter-intuitive without the images to go along with it

I do not mind the new Gallente colours, but they could do with bring a bit less shiny.

I wouldn't mind the Gallente colours if they were done better, I just looked at the new Confessor model, it's truly beautiful, we need something approaching that level of care about colour maps.

The Gallente ships need a colour map redo. Engine nozzles something darker than crome, Engine spaces darker... just remapping everything as chrome highlighted all the flaws in the models.

- chat flashing indicators need to be less subtle and more in your face, too hard to see atm.

- hate the new neocom items, so plain and bland.

- new colour schemes are really poor, as previously said, probably needs the rgb sliders re-implementing or something along those lines.

- gallente ships way too shiny

Ok, just got into the game, First thing, choose a theme that was closest to what I already had pre-patch, "Dark Matter" Check, next step turn off Window Blur cause that caused eye strain on SiSi, Check, Next return Transparency to something more usual, 10% seems about right, play with that a little over the next week or so, check, And finally return station icons to something about the same size as small icons was, turn off "Small Station Service Buttons" Check.

First thing I notice after all of that is that the Scroll bar is basically blended with the window so much that you can't even tell that there is meant to be one. When you hover over the scroll bar is probably the colour it should be without hover.

Still haven't sorted out all the icons yet, but I've noticed that ones that I had removed have returned for no apparent reason.

I liked to play with colors in my interface. You took that away without any good reason at all. Now I'll have to play with everything in black. Meh...

Or you could, you know, fly one of the other ships that can go into those sites. I realize that's a radical idea, this whole notion of adapting to change, but you might like it if you try it.

On the subject of the updated UI:

Overall I find the new icons to be far more intuitive, but the Map and the Market icons are too similar in terms of their basic shapes. The other icons are great. I routinely had issues with the colored ones, even after playing this game for 6 years. The new ones (or at least the ones I use) are, for the most part, far more straight forward and huge step forward.

Will I get banned for boxing!?!?!
