I just voted on all relevant categories. Looks like EVE is winning on some of them. Not sure the website asking for votes is a well known one though ?

Playing under constant threat of aggression and living our lives around timers has prepared us for this battle. We take this 8 hour cycle time in stride, but be assured, our foes struggle with remembering things and following instructions for even the simplest tasks. The majority of them barely read or write coherent sentences, and paragraphs are but a dream.

We have three days remaining on our first engagement timer, and our lead increases by nearly a hundred per day. We will show no clemency or mercy. No lives will be spared. We will salt their fields and burn their villages, and leave them cowering in fear and shame until our return to this battle ground next year.

What exactly is the benefit of this? So by being basically the only people voting, we can put EVE to the top of some lists that nobody cares about? I'll vote for EVE for best MMO when CCP put in the legwork and I actually feel it really is the best MMO. Repeatedly voting every 8 hours and hoping that the millions of players playing games like WoW and Minecraft don't notice there's a vote doesn't actually make EVE any better, you realise that, right?

the victory outside our game, over other games. there are not many opportunities like this. it's inter-MMO PVP.

Victory in what way? If some of those other games even knew the list existed and decided to legitimately cast one vote each, EVE would be knocked flat out. It's pretending EVE is the best because the people that would vote the other way don't know the vote exists. And the fact that they don't know it exists makes it pointless to win, since if the site had enough traffic for it to matter, the voting wouldn't be taken over by a handful of eve players repeatedly voting. You may as well just set up a webpage on a free host saying "This is a list of MMOs and EVE is da best!".

It's where these come from, and we need some that say 2014. Please click the thing, we can sort the other issues with CCP in other threads. You know I like inciting forum riots as much as anyone, but this isn't the thread for that. There are things CCP can do for us, and there are things only we can do for us.

Actually, some of those players from other games do know about this site and the awards. Heck, there is even a forum post similar to this one on the Guild Wars 2 and WoW forums. Apparently they are less enthusiastic about their chosen games winning the award than we are.

It shouldn't be EVE. CCP Rise unwittingly destroyed a playstyle when he tinkered with the Rattlesnake unnecessarily. A very callous way to treat you customers.
