Should capsules be removed from space? Ship death = pod death?

Except for implants, after tomorrow you will not lose anything when you are podded.

Maybe instead of a pod appearing when a ship blows up, it should be that when your ship blows up, you blow up [along with your capsule]. Implants could now be shown in the ship killmail.

Is there still a need for a capsule to appear? Maybe it should be that the capsule is now just an integrated part of a ship system [like a module, rig or suchforth].

And no one flew a frigate with implants ever again. Instead I'd love the idea of adding crews to ship; which would have those blown up.

Idea with crew of the ship sounds interesting, but imho nearly impossible to implement and balance!

Ships already have crews, check out the lore.

No to no capsules.

We're capsuleers, the capsule is inherent to our existence. Silly idea is silly.

So, you're a bounty hunter. No, that ain't it at all. Then what are you? I'm a bounty hunter.

Hey guys, hey guys,
I had this great idea; what if we made a game about a gangster, who isn't a gangster?
or or
What if we made a game about the three musketeers, without any muskets?
OR
What if we made a game about cyberneticly enhanced humans who hook up to their ship via a neural interface, without the neural interface?

Pretty cool right?

or you could just lock the pod and kill it if you can. Can't do that...ole boy/girl earned their getaway.

CCP has already stated they will find something to replace this system at some point. Why go through the hassle of removing pods if they will be brought back in when this happens.

Not that removing pods in the first place a good idea to start tbh.

Exactly... Some people should read what they are about to post before pressing the Post button...

At least a third of the threads on this forum wouldn't be posted!

No.

I LOVE the idea of a pod. The idea that we are interfacing with these marvels of engineering directly through our BRAINS is awesome.

Its way better than having Joe Schmoe and Bob Bobberton waving there hands around and shouting when the ship's going down.

Grrr.

They still do that, it's just as the ship disintegrates around them whilst your shiny pod pops clear of the wreackage...

Definately yes!

Worm holers shouldn't be living in those systems anyways and shouldn't be allowed to re-ship, its soo OP!

Hope you can read the massive sarcasm.

Hey, this forum isn't the Features and GOOD Ideas Discussion Big smile

I see what people are saying plus stealing ships would be problematic.
I would however like some crew that wave their hands in the air and screaming before the ship goes boom.
Won't anyone think of the crew?

I'm pretty sure our camera drones don't show the crew's escape pods purely to STOP us thinking of them. All those helpless targets...
