Building Cap Compontets and Ships in a Pos

okay so what will i need a POS to build a ROrqual everything the type of tower what makes the cap components what will i do all of it walk me through it and assume i have never built a POS

also would it be possible to mine and process the ores in the pos to keep it all contained in one unit as in 1 POS

Can't mine from a POS....

You probably want to buy the ores unless you have a huge amount of people mining for this, it's a lot of minerals.
In short:
- Intensive refining array (unless you're in null and have an outpost with better refining)
- Component assembly array (for the cap components) or Thukker Component array
- Capital assembly array
- Lots of defenses
- Friends for when someone takes a disliking for your POS.

Most information that can be found about POSes is outdated, I'm in the process of setting up one (on alt) and there's still much that makes no sense

You can refine, build capital components and assemble capital at a POS. However, due to CPU requirements you most likely will not be able to do all of them at the same time on a single POS.

For CPU, you will most likely want a Caldari Large Control Tower.

You will want to keep modules anchored and offline if not using:

Reprocessing Array - online only when you are refining the ore
Component Assemble Array - online only when you are manufacturing capital components
Capital Ship Assembly Array - online only when you are cooking the capital

There are financial benefits to conducting this in low sec. Null sec would save you on fuel cost.

If you are looking to build on a consistent basis for financial profit you will want to investigate the best solution long term. If you are looking to build ONE rorqual, honestly either buy one or manufacture in a station.

Thanks guys for all the input. My corp likes to build what it needs we try not to buy things. oh and living in Null where i live we are going to build the components then build the ship in a station to keep the pos from getting attacked
