Mail after Pheobe

This issue may have started before then, but Pheobe was the patch I really noticed things beginning to happen with my mailbox.

Prior to that patch I was able to keep mail for quite a bit of time. As of today I have no mail prior to 11-17. This isn't even a month worth of mail. It's only 17 days.

I've tried to search the forums to see if some change happened that I missed in the patch notes or something but I have come up empty.

Why do I suddenly have less than a months worth of mail???

As an industry person I have orders and quotes for orders that take longer than 17 days to complete and I am unable to go back and see when I promised things or anything. This has gotten very frustrating.

Any chance we can have mail for a couple months if not the nice long time we had before?

I have to ask, but have you tried the little arrow thingy that lets you go to the next page of mails?

Have you tired clearing the cache, or have you do so recently (like around the same time your mails disappeared)?

Did you accidentally "delete all" instead of "mark all as read"?

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I haven't cleared cache, and I never mark all as read in my inbox and it's impossible to do in the sent box. Sent mails also has the 17th as the last mail sent.

I've asked around within my corp and alliance mates and others have this as issue as well. I don't think it's a bug so I put it here instead of the issues area.

Oh and yes I have 2 pages of mail of each type, none have more than that.

I bet you're one of these people with 500 emails some two years old. Or, your home...do you find yourself dodging piles of newspapers to get into the kitchen? Just how many pounds of National Geographics are you holding anyway?

Nothing wrong with keeping every single mail instead of deleting them... The best working place is your own mess, not the neat room cleaned by mum.

Here is an answer for you. Look up at the top of the page and find the icon shaped like a letter. You can see anything you sent or received as long as you haven't deleted it. I can see sent mail back to 2013 there.

I usually cannot see further back than a month at any given time... but that's just bc of all the mails I get. CCP needs to step up and revamp the mail since years ago.

Like how about being able to search or even see all mails for that matter? They're all in their database so why not let me view them all?

Or an export function, or have it stored like chat logs....

Being the POC for my corp for things means I get a ton of mail as well, perhaps that is it. (Most likely not nearly as much as Chribba though). A search and/or export function would be so helpful.

I guess it's just something I have to live with, start saving googledoc's of my mails that are important. YAY one more step!

Just an update, so I have it in writing. Now the oldest mail I have is the 19th the ones from the 17th and 18 have dropped off.

Makes me wonder if it saves by volume instead of by date.
