Caldari and hybrids - More love coming?

I resub'd my missile-happy caldari alt today and have a few mil sp to allocate refunded from who knows what. Regardless of how bad hybrids are, i'm not thinking of cross training so lets not get into the winmatar/omgscorch crap. I have a borderline-rp obsession with neat and tidy single race characters so this is more a question of whether or not niche roles now exist for the caldari hybrid ships where previously they didn't. I have heard some good-ish things about the new bc, but on the whole I don't hear much good news about hybrid ships other than PL apparently taking some rokhs down to rofl some little southern alliances.

So, pvp, pve, just mucking about, is there any good enough news to warrent throwing down my unallocated sp into hybrids or should I let the jury stay out a while?

Hybrids rock at what they do now. Read the patch notes for the current changes.

IIRC what they did was shoot stuff really far for next to no damage or high eft dps at an ineffectual range.

I saw there was a 10%? dmg buff, but that doesn't seem too game-changing to me. I guess i'll have to go be a good EFT warrior and see for myself.

Heh, I know way to fix hybrids.

Give hybrids pinpoint accuracy, so that rails almost never miss. It will be a major boost.

Minmatar and Shells - no electronics, hand loading - how the hell is it going to be accurate? Honestly minmatar should have explosion radius on their shells, cause their aiming is totally off.

Blasters should be high rate of fire weapons with not extreme accuracy at longer ranges. Blasters should operate in falloff still. Same slug, just fired without much aiming.

This post sums up why the 'best' work with DCM inc.

WARP DRIVE makes eve boring

really - add warping align time 300% on gun aggression and eve becomes great again

The Rokh has gone from good to amazing, the Ferox (IIRC) is now much easier to fit, and the Naga is a beast with rails.

I still think that Caldari need support.

Optimal bonus is nice, I'd love rail guns to be not only rong range but very accurate. Surgical precision, but poor tracking at close ranges.

I fit a new Falcon the other night and its still better with arties than with Rails. better fit, better DPS, and better alpha. Didn't look at the tracking, didn't think it would matter too much as I don't plan to orbit anything in my Falcon unless its at very long range. Considering the Falcon has buffs to Hybrids and projectiles are still better, I'd say they haven't done enough.
