Hi guys!

Lately I have been busy on this pet project of mine for Brytenwalda, an already successful Warband Mod, by tweaking out the base Brytenwalda with a lot of custom love Big smile

It´s called Brytenwalda Repolished

You can check it out here:

Nexus Link

ModDB Link

And official Talesworlds Forums thread in the Brytenwalda Forums

Just spreading out the word for my work.

in short I asked the Brytenwalda devs for permission to redistribute their whole client already modded with a bunch of small changes to polish off a bit some of the rough edges Brytenwalda 1.41 has, and adding on top of it some small mods from other creators that kindly gave me permission to redistribute their works too and then BUILD upon that to make a much better Brytenwalda.

I have taken care of most of the small graphical issues plus a lot of other stuff, changelog is a bit big, it´s been some months of fun injecting love into this wonderful mod and it has been taken quite well by the modding community Big smile

Anyway a heads up for it and hope you can try it and enjoy it!

Cheers!

Awesome. I'll have to give it a shot.

Warband is the most fun I've had with a single player sandbox game. I've yet to even attempt making my own kingdom. I have too much fun poking people with spears and arrows from horseback to be bothered Smile.

Grrr.

Thanks for your interest in my work friend! Hope you enjoy it!

Brytenwalda is a historical mod, meaning it´s a wildly different experience from vanilla Warband in terms of factions, weapon use, armor stats and availability of certain items.

It´s very infantry based, horsemen are better used as skirmishing units and a lot of people throw things at you, mostly javelins. Archery is rough to grasp too.

It also employs several mechanics for extra challenge to the player.

It uses bleeding as a mechanic that affects the player/companions/your troops/enemy troops/lords and horses. Even if you are winning nasty cuts and bruises will bleed you out slowly until you collapse.

As an extra layer of challenge it uses some mechanics that affect ONLY you, like walking backwards chance of falling, armor fatigue and the rare weapon breakage.

There´s also a injury mechanic that can actually lower your stats for about a month and make the wounds permanent if wounded a second time!

These all can be customized within the mod options for a comfortable level of challenge/ease of play.

it also has some unique combat mechanics you can use, mostly a troop rally shout and a fierce roar, they cost experience but first one heals all your troops nearby a bit and second makes enemy units closing in on you to fall back to give you breathing room, these have saved me quite some times in the thick of battle.

There are also very rare units that raise morale (bannermen and hornmen) plus other nifty things you will have to find out for yourself!

it´s quite different to most other fantasy type mods out there!

Hope you truly enjoy it!

Nice features! The injuries stuff would make my style of kite archers around for an hour until they run out arrows even riskier. Then again, I was exploiting the AI anyway hehe.

I'm not terribly tech savvy and not really tried modding the game yet. When I have some more time and energy I'll give it a shot. EVE is sorta dominating my attention at the moment Smile.

Grrr.
