Incursions still a thing?

maybe a silly question but I was never good at finding out simple answers

is there still a massive fleet/corp/get togethers going on for incursions? I remember there was a channel for people to dump their fits and fleet up but last I was there it was dead silent.

can someone point me in the right direction?

You'd be better to start by going to an actual incursion constellation and asking in the local incursion channel.
If incursion-runners are anywhere, they will (quite literally) be there.

Warp to me incursions - the best community for beginners, you don't need a super shiny faction battleship.

The Valhalla project - the biggest IC community, you kinda need a shiny ship to join their fleets

Din-flotten - zee Germans.

ISN - dicks

These are shield communities, armor communities suck.

I use to be into the armored incursion fleet. I stopped incursions for a bit, came back, and the channel was dead silent and people only gave smart ass answers and gave me the run around.

I think I might look into 'warp to me incursions' but is shield fleets the most popular ones these days? (as in has most people and most chance of being in a fleet)

Shield fleets have much better ISK/hour ratio. Not many people run armor fleets these days. So yes, shield fleets are the ****. You should definitely try out warp to me, get enough iskies for a better ship and join tvp.

It varies quite a bit due to the different level of incursions you are running or the sites that are spawning. In TVP there is a HQ fleet up pretty much always 23/7 aside from when the incursion is popped or on the rare occasion we don't have enough players. In those fleets you can expect to make between 90-210 Million per hour. Of course the top end of that number is quite hard to achieve it does happen if you get lucky with a wall of the best incursion sites (TCRCS).

If you join the channel "Incursion public" it has links to all of the communities that have formed. The incursion local channel is fairly dead as the majority of fleets are run out of one of the player run communities these days.

It varies. Between 70M for a low end VG, t1 hull with reasonable fittings fleet, to 150ish for a shiny HQ fleet and both numbers are averages from personal experience in those fleets and almost everything in between.

BTW, TVP's rhetoric about 23/7 is starting to wear thin as they are down before WTM most nights these days, though for a group whose primary leadership is EU/AU based, they stay up decently into late US TZ.

120m isk/h per char is pretty decent, especially when 50% of the fleet were barely skilled boxes. These were the golden times of incursions. Lol I used to fly with Din-fotten, the only community that allowed multiboxing. The founder of din-flotten used to fly 10 vindicator boxes!

IMO, DIN is the best incursion community....crazy mom killer Kaphrah, angry Charadrass and FC's who barely speak english Big smile And a lot of Deuschland..

I haven't been running incursions for about 6 months, but DIN stays in my heart.

I know there was one the past couple of days around Molden Heath, but next to no chatter in the incursion box. Two Russians on the second day was all I saw. I wasn't rushing out there.

There is a bit of overhead with incursions getting a fleet together and getting to the system that is often not included in the ISK/hour figures people quote. Even with those overheads incursions are still one of the top ISK earning activities in game.

I run incursions with TDF which is an armor fleet. Isk/hr is good and does depend on site as said above, but also will vary with the style of the FC. One FC yesterday had us making 100 mil/hr running VG sites. And whether your fleet mates are drunk or going afk in the middle of the fight which will affect dps. Doesn't happen all that much, but I saw this happening past couple days in a couple fleets.

Another thing affecting isk/hr not mentioned is time spent on a wait list when a fleet is full. But usually within 20 mins you can get on grid as people drop out or the fleet upgrades to HQ or assault sites.
