I am having the same problem. I have not been able to find anything profitable to manufacture either.

I have a subscriber who started with a negligible amount of isk who made 80mil his first month, 350 his second, and a bil his third. He's far from my most successful subscriber, but he's my favorite for starting with nil and having a great attitude. His portfolio is atypical and doesn't involve hulls, but works very well. Perhaps his best attribute is being open-minded. I also have multiple subscribers absolutely schooling Jita. As I operate out of Amarr with a philosophy of GTFOOJ, frankly they're my heroes.

Bear in mind that mineral prices rose last week after the input broadcast ban. The ship prices will take a while to adjust.

Plus T1 ships often have thin margins. Everyone and their grandmother thinks making ships is sexy, and so they do, but the demand for ship hulls is relatively low.

After announcement of the upcoming broadcast ban*
It isn't yet actively banned.

This is definitely having an impact on cost trends. For instance, the cost of building an Abaddon has increased 2.6% over last week. This primarily impacts hulls with their thin margins,
