There is just something about miniatures that makes them true works of art. If done right they can look way better than CG imo.

CG typically lacks indirect lighting which has to be cheated making it look less real. I will bet you money that if you render this with global illumination and HDR lighting you would not be able to tell the difference. Arnold, Maxwell or V Ray could render a better looking spaceship.
